Meet your guide near the Milan Duomo to explore this iconic cathedral's many layers. Begin in the archaeological area underneath the Duomo to learn about the 4th-century Church of Santa Tecla and Baptistery of St. John. From there, make your way into the cathedral itself, which is one of the largest in the world.
Admire the many beautiful pieces of art inside the Duomo, including 55 stained glass windows, before taking an elevator to the cathedral roof – known as the 'terraces' to walk among the spires and sculptures. Enjoy wonderful views over the city and, weather permitting, to the mountains on the horizon.
Walk from the cathedral to some of the other important attractions in Milan, including the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II which is right next to the Duomo. Walk through the glass-enclosed shopping center to see the La Scala opera house. Stop in the Medieval Piazza dei Mercanti and then walk to the Sforza Castle to explore its courtyards and gardens.
