One of the largest bodies of water in Italy, Lake Como's best sights vary with the time of year you visit. On this tour, you’ll travel with a guide to discover the highlights of the area around the lake with an itinerary tailored to the season. Food and drinks are at your own expense throughout the day. Winter Tour: (November to March) Relax on your 1-hour morning journey from Milan to Lake Como. Hop out to stretch your legs on a tour of Como, the lake’s main town, and learn about its key sights around the historic center. From town, take the gondola to the village of Brunate, a serene spot in the hills above Como. Gaze down at the lake, flanked by the Rhaetian Alps, and then make the most of some free time for lunch. Return to Como by gondola before the highlight of your day: a Lake Como boat tour. The water offers the best vantage point to see the lake and shorelines; keep an eye out for chic villas and luxury hotels as you cruise. Cernobbio’s opulent Villa d'Este hotel is one such sight with its grandiose façade and tropical gardens. After your return to shore, enjoy some free time to see the sights at your own pace, shop or perhaps sip a coffee. Then, finish your time in Como with a visit to the Basilica of Sant’Abbondio, a Romanesque-style 11th-century church, before your return to Milan. Summer Tour: (April to October) After your 1-hour coach journey from Milan, start your tour of Como with a look inside two of its historical attractions: the Basilica of Sant’Abbondio. Continue into Como’s historic center, and use your free time to get to know the town at your own pace with some sightseeing or shopping for Lake Como keepsakes. Meet back with your guide for an extended 2-hour cruise around Lake Como, admiring the hillside villas and hotels, and pose for photos against the backdrop of the alps. Return to dry land in time for your trip to the colorful seaside town of Bellagio, which many pinpoint as a highlight of the lake. Spend some time at your leisure here to explore and perhaps savor lunch. Later, cruise to Cadenabbia, then return to your coach for the journey back to Milan.

We were transported from Milan to Lake Como in a comfortable coach bus and had a great driver Marcello and tour guide Conrado. The tour guide was excellent and provided us enough info to take in Beautiful Lake Como and leave feeling educated in the many beautiful landmarks and history of this wonderful place. The only drawback was the guides head set was very scratchy and at times not working. Aside from that it was well worth it and Zani Tours on Viator gets 5 stars.
This was a great tirp. I wish the tour guide could speak English a little clearer. We found it difficult to understand her especially with the boat motor. SHe did a great job; just wanted to understand more.
This tour was exactly as advertised and very enjoyable. We traveled in a very comfortable coach bus to Como and the tour guide provided information to us along the drive regarding Milan city sites as well as Como sites. The ride took one hour. Once in Como to tour continued for a short while and then we had our own time to walk around and check out the town. We took a ferry ride to Bellagio and the tour guide continued to point out places of interest along the ferry ride. Once in Bellagio we had our own free time to walk around. This is well worth it for a break of the bustling city of Milan.
While Lake Como is beautiful, this turned out to be one of the weaker Viator tours I have been on. The tour guide was somewhat engaged but not as much as others that we have had. Despite there only being three or four Spanish-speaking individuals on our bus, we had to put up with him repeating every description not only in English but in Spanish. This was annoying and took away from the time that he would've had to interact with us. This was probably fatiguing to him and probably one of the reasons he seemed disinterested. The bus ride was adequate although there was confusion initially as there were two buses and it was confusing as to which one we should get on. It turned out that they were both identical. The persons on the bus that I asked the question as to which bus we should be going on were not the most pleasant. The Lake Como boat ride was beautiful but turned out to be a public ferry. Certainly, almost everything we did today, could have been accomplished as well or even better by us taking a train from Milan and going on the public ferry by ourselves.
Lake Como is a fantastic place, as is the city of Como. Very spectacular scenery all the way,and the villas along the lake are impressive to say the least. Unfortunately the town of Bellagio at the end of the cruise was overrun by tourists with nothing much to do except souvenir shopping. There was a nice little train journey which takes in the village away from the tourist area that is well worth doing.
Good way to see Lake Como from Milan in just one day. Maybe in hind sight should have gone and stayed there for a couple of days but if you are pressed for time and want to tick Lake Como of your bucket list a great way to go.
Tour was well run and we say all the main sights was just a long day but worthwhile
A bus load from Milan to Como. Hop aboard the boat that makes many stops. The area is beautiful and quant. It was nice to visit to get a feel of where to stay in the future. We spent a few hours in Como and Bellagio. The guide was knowledgable and humorous.
