Breath taking scenery! Like to go again when colder and more snow.
This is an amazing tour. Our tour guide, Franco, was great - giving us just the right amount of information without being too chatty. He helped us enjoy the scenery and let us take it all in. The visit to the church before hand was great too. The only minor change I would make is to spend a little more time in St. Moritz. We had about 1.25 hours, but given the time to walk to and from the station, it only gave us about an hour. Maybe having another 30 minutes would be good.
Finally, we took the tour on a rainy day. This didn't squelch the trip at all, because even with the rain, the views were incredible. The rain did break eventually, and that made it even more enjoyable.
That was absolutely lovely! My dream came true. Recommended everyone.
Unbelievable day, awesome scenery. Great guide by the name of Sonia and Driver, Marco. Highly, recommend.
Our Swiss Alps Bernina Express Rail Tour was amazing. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very personable. During the train ride from Tirano to St. Moritz, our guide let us know what side of the train to lookout for the best views and to take pictures. Although it was a long tour, we never felt rushed. We were able to have a leisurely lunch in Tirano, and we had enough time in St. Moritz to walk around. I highly recommend this once in a lifetime view of the Swiss Alps.
This is surely one of the 'must do' tours from Milan or anywhere else for that matter. A pleasant bus drive through the countryside arriving at Tirano in plenty of time to look through the church, have an early lunch, and board the train. The tour guide did not provide any commentary on the train, but then it's not needed - the scenery speaks for itself. Free time in St Moritz is enough and this is one the most expensive towns anywhere and the bus ride back to Milan traveled through some equally impressive scenery.
However, the train ride is the main feature of this tour, and it doesn't disappoint. We did the trip in late August, and I'd love to do it again in winter for the snow scenery. In fact, I would do it again at any time of the year, repeatedly.

This trip was great. It was a excellent way to experience the Swiss Alps. The train ride was really good and the guide was very informative. Great scenery. Lunch was really good. Well worth it.
Great tour early morning start but worth it. Our guide was very good also and the driver did an excellent job. By taking the train one way it gave a good return trip by road. So it was anew experience beginning to end.
It is awesome and great tour...I have no words to describe feelings.
Fantastic tour from start to finish. Well organised and great informative guide. Bernina train ride was exceptional with spectacular views. The highlight of our holiday to Italy.
Well organised tour with a great guide. One of the most scenic train rides I have taken. Also enjoyed the bus journey back on the mountain roads.

Words aren't going to describe just how beautiful the scenery was on this magical day. It took my breath away. The swiss alps are definitely worth seeing and the Bernina Express was certainly a highlight of our trip. It was wonderful to see St Moritz. It is truly a beautiful place to visit. Even though it was a Sunday and most of the shops were closed it was still great to be there. The chocolate shop was nearly worth the trip on it's own. This tour, though a bit pricey, is worth every cent. It is a full day and the memories you will take away will last a lifetime. I can't recommend it enough.
It is a very good experience to join such a wonderful and amazing tour, everything is well organised, awesome tour guide Franco and bus driver. Wonderful breathtaking views and glaciers in the Alps.
Wow, what can I say. From the moment we left Milan by bus the day did not disappoint in any way. If you are lucky enough to have Franco as your guide you will have the best experience ever. He had everything well organised, from lunch to border crossing requirements. The Bernina Express is a great way to see some breathtaking scenery from villages in the valley, to the glaciers in the Alps. The large windows of the train enabled easy photography. Once we arrived in St Moritz we had free time to either shop or explore the lake area. Our bus trip back to Milan had our bus driver, David showing us his driving skills down a very steep road which included many hair pin corners where cars had to stop to let our bus go through. Would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to get the most out of your time in the region. Excellent Value, thanks Franco
Yes this was an excellent trip which my sister and I both enjoyed. Very well run.
This was an amazing trip, well organised with plenty of rest stops and breaks. The train journey itself offered breathtaking views and St Moritz is beautiful has to be seen to be believed. A special mention needs to be given to Sonia the tour guide who was excellent and so helpful
This outing was the BEST!!!! The train ride was breath-taking! It had rained in the morning, so we did not have clear skies, but the clouds made the photos beautiful! I would have liked more time in St. Moritiz, but overall, the day was wonderful!

Wonderful experience with breathtaking views
Superb.....you must do this trip. Well planed with just enough free time. Great good value lunch at Tirano as recommended by out guide. Views from the train are breath taking and the coach ride back down the Maloja Pass was stunning. Its a full day so be prepared to be a little tired on your return.
Great tour and awesome guide. Would be better if they publish the entire itinerary.
Would recommend more time in St. Moritz and less time in Tirano.

Beautiful sightseeing all around. The bus stops in Tirano for a bit to see the church there and get lunch before the train ride. Try the pizzoccheri pasta! It's a buckwheat pasta cooked with chunks of potato and cabbage with cheese. Very very good much better than it sounds. The bresaola is amazing as well. The train ride was beautiful and very neat. Bring a sweater or sweatshirt. The train windows are open for pictures and you WILL get cold. It was Mid August and in the 50s going through the mountains while it was in the 80s in Tirano. It would have been nice to spend more time in St. Moritz as we only had about an hour to explore before meeting the bus to head back.
