What To Expect
Your tour begins in the middle of Moab where you’ll meet your guide, and board the comfortable 4WD vehicle for the 5-mile (8-km) drive to the park. Once inside Arches National Park, your off-roading adventure begins when you leave the road by Doc Williams Point.
More than 2,000 giant sandstone arches are scattered throughout the park, which is the largest collection of naturally occurring arches found anywhere in the world. You’ll also find pinnacles, fins, and rocks along this epic landscape of rich red earth sculpted by time.
If some of this landscape looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen it in the movies. Popular films like Thelma and Louise were shot in portions of the park, as were scenes for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
If you choose the evening tour, there’s a chance you could see a fiery sunset illuminate the red rocks. Once the sun is below the horizon, stars sparkle in one of the darkest skies in the country.
Towards the end of the tour, you’ll leave the park via an old cowboy trail. It’s here where you’ll stop to see fossilized dinosaur tracks stamped into the earth.
Finally, after several hours of backcountry exploring in the southern Utah terrain, your tour finishes in the center of Moab from the same spot where it began.

The excursion itself was fun and I would recommend it, but you have to make sure to enforce the mask rule yourself.
A must do if you want a little excitement and great photo ops.
I would highly recommend this 1/2 day trip to all.

Thoughtless tour guide, horrible trip

The trip we were taken on was horrific. It was NOT what we signed up for. We signed up for the typjcal park viewing. We were taken completely off the beaten track to the part of the park that only one percent of the visitors see, according to our guide. We understand why no one goes there. It is near impossible to reach. We constantly went over giant boulders and rock formations and down steep inclines, nearly tipping over at one point, getting banged and boomed around in the vehicle all because one guy wanted to hike to some out of the way arch. There were three of us in the group including two 70 year old women, vs. one of him. We should have been asked if we agreed to this trip, which we absolutely would not have, but were unwillingly dragged out on this horrific drive, despite telling our tour guide it was not what we signed up for. Thoughtless, inconsiderate behavior on the part of the tour guide and the tour company.

Great site, great guide

We had a great time. Bronson, our tour guide, took us to many sites that are not accessible through the normal visiting area. He was very knowledgeable and professional and ensured my husband and I and the other couple we were with, did what was most enjoyable for each. e.g. hike, climb, take pictures. We had a very nice experience that we highly recommend to others.

Our guide took us up close to 2 arches that we would not have been able to do on our own. He was full of great facts and info about the area and even dropped us off at a restaurant for dinner. Don’t hesitate…book it!!

We had a great time exploring areas in Archer’s that were off the beaten path. Adam was a great guide, full of information and entertaining commentary. He took us over some very rough terrain with great skill. We never felt in danger even though it was plenty exciting at times.
