What To Expect

Your tour begins in the middle of Moab where you’ll meet you professional guide, who will help you get comfortably situated inside of the off-road, 4WD vehicle. Enjoy the 30-mile (48km) drive from Moab to Canyonlands National Park, where you’ll explore the popular Island in the Sky District with its spectacular desert scenery.

Start off atop a mesa with views looking out over the horizon before your guide deftly maneuvers the switchbacks of Shafer Trail. On this section of the 100-mile (161-km) White Rim Road Loop, you’ll make stops at spectacular Gooseneck Overlook and famous Musselman Arch, and photograph vistas of the Colorado River and the view from Thelma and Louise Point.

In addition to the popular lookouts, your expert guide will take you to spots that aren’t as frequently visited, where you’ll find everything from ancient Pueblo rock art to vertical views down the canyons. You’ll learn the history of the Pueblo people who inhabited the Four Corners area, and aside from the culture and history lessons, your guide will also explain the geology of the red rock canyons before you.

When you stop for a break to take photos, venture out on one of the short trails that leave from many of the viewpoints; you’ll get a different perspective and angle for photographing the canyons.

When this Canyonlands tour from Moab is over, your guide will return you to the middle of Moab to the spot where the tour began.

The best way to see Canyonlands!
James_G, Nov 2021
Ric provided my wife and I an excellent experience in Canyonlands! He arrived on time with his land cruiser and we were off. Ric made sure to stop along the way allowing us to take in the archeological and geological sites. Hitting the dirt really allowed Ric to show off his skills and knowledge. He seemed to have surprises up his sleeve such a recently discovered dinosaur fossil, excellent photo stops, and off road return trip. Ric knows the area and off roading. He gave advice to me as I set out to have my own overland vehicle. Ric had snacks and water at the ready. Lastly, he helped us plan the rest of our trip allowing us to maximize our small amount of time. Highly recommended. You should book your spot right now.
Amazing vistas

Charlotte our guide was absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable about the area rock formation. In fact everything. Visited Canyonlands & Arches. Went off the tourist track and saw the real Utah. Thanx so much Charlotte. See you again. X
This company has long history with area. Give it a 10/10

Our driver Chance was excellent. Learned so much about this area of country. He is a wealth of knowledge. The off roading was spectacular. Is an absolute must do but not for people who have a extreme fear of heights. We always felt safe and comfortable on this excursion. Chance is a very experienced driver. Would do this tour again!
Great trip

Ben was an amazing tour guide. He grew up in Moab so he knew the history of the area and also had in depth knowledge about rock formation, what to see and lots of stories about the area. He was funny too. We felt like we learned and saw so much more than if we had been on our own

Guide was great driver a little quiet but very polite and helpful. One gentle suggestion would be to use deodorant.
Trip of a Lifetime!
Caroline_D, Oct 2021
Having our great guide, Rich, show us the ghost shrimp and something else in a mud puddle that will evaporate and resume life next time the puddle comes back.
