An excellent tour that more than met my expectations. Our guide Basile met us promptly at the appointed time. Our party of 4 rode in a very comfortable 8-passenger van, first to a charming olive oil producer, where we sampled olives, had a tour with explanation of the old way of making olive oil and the new equipment, followed by a sampling of olive oils exceptional and a glass of wine with 3 types of tapenade on toasted baguette. Then we went into Nice where we were dropped off at a tiny restaurant, Chez Pipo, to sample a caramelized onion-topped appetizer and Socca, a chickpea bread made on an open fire oven, which we watched being cooked. Basile was waiting do us when we finished. Basile spoke English clearly, but somewhat softly in the van, which was a minor issue for passengers behind him.
