What You Can Expect

Monaco Shore Excursion: Small-Group French Riviera in One Day Tour

Visit Cannes on your French Riviera tour

Begin your shore excursion from Monaco with a pickup at the cruise terminal after your ship docks in the port. From there, you'll relax in a comfortable minivan and head out of the city along the beautiful coastal roads toward your first stop – historic Antibes.

Follow your knowledgeable guide on a walking tour of the historic center of seaside Antibes, then walk past Billionaire's Quay and its enormous, modern yachts for contrast. Next, stop in nearby Cannes for a drive down ritzy Croisette Boulevard (Promenade de la Croisette) and to see the site where the famous Cannes International Film Festival takes place every year – the Festival Palace (Palais des Festivals et des Congrès).

Enjoy free time in quaint Saint-Paul-de-Vence in Provence, where many artists and actors have lived over the years, to take a midday break for lunch (own expense). Continue with a scenic drive on the Middle Corniche road, which offers impressive views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea below, until you reach the town of Eze located high on a hill. Take a tour of the Fragonard perfumery to learn about the art and science of creating luxury perfumes.

Head back toward Monaco, passing through the historic town of La Turbie. It's a small village, but famous for a 1st-century BC Roman monument called the Trophy of the Alps (Trophée des Alps).

Upon returning to Monaco, take a driving tour of the principality – including the opulent casinos, fragrant gardens and the Prince's Palace (Palais Princier). Drive on the Formula One Grand Prix circuit, which cuts right through Monte Carlo, before returning to your ship.

Worry-Free Shore Excursion:
We will ensure your timely return to the Monaco port for this activity. In the rare event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. If your ship is delayed and you are unable to attend this activity, your money will be refunded. See our terms and conditions for full details.

Excellent tour. The small group was just family so a real bonus. The driver could easily drive us into and out of places that would have taken much long walking. Beautiful sights!

We took this day trip with another couple traveling with us on a Mediterranean cruise. Due to rough seas, our ship had to drop anchor in the harbor at Villefranche-sur-Mer, instead of Monaco. Because our driver had to pick up a third couple at a hotel in Monte Carlo, and combined with Grand Prix week traffic, he was a little late in picking us up on shore. BUT, he more than made up for it with an outstanding day of touring through Cannes, Antibes, St. Paul de Vencewhere we paused for lunch, Eze and Monaco. He obliged us by taking to places that we definitely wanted to visit and explore a bit as we may have desired, and spending less time at the more touristy or commercial spots that we didn't care so much about. He also gave us a bit longer day than the tour required, so we were thankful that he did so to compensate a bit for the late start. The Mercedes van was comfortable, and our driver was very pleasant and a wealth of knowledge about history and places/things to see that we may not have known about. I would definitely recommend this tour in satisfying the desire for a custom and pleasant day's experience. at what I think was a very good value for the money spent.

It was a fantastic day with our driver. We saw everything we wanted to see. Much much better doing small private tours and getting to choose our own itinerary than big group tours , worth every cent or Euro

Good value and worth the time. Guide was very flexible on activities....and responsive and cordial. Tour
guide could have been more informative but not a deal breaker....Go for it....

A lot of driving, van not particularly comfortable and driver did not have a mic so folks in back couldn't hear much. Decent stop in Eze. Highlights were the Casino and a drive around the race course! Recommend Dick c

Would recommend this tour. It covers many areas. One thing I would change is maybe a half hour for a beach stroll in Nice. The villages of St-Paul-de Vence and Eze are something special. Hint, have a glass of wine and lunch in St-Paul-de-Vence just as you enter or leave. Easier than in the village as they prefer a full meal customer. We skipped the perfume factory, and used the time for Eze village and the garden at the top. Awesome views. Monaco and the casino area is pretty but not my idea of fun. Too wealthy for me.

While it was nice to see Cannes, I think the time could be better spent. It was fun to drive the Grand Prix course.

Very interesting tour...small group in van with very nice tour guide. Drove thru several cities of Côte d' Azure. Enjoyed Monte Carlo. Would of liked to spend just a little more time exploring the beaches.
