Small-Group St Tropez Day Trip from Monaco

Small-Group St Tropez Day Trip from Monaco

Begin your St Tropez outing with pickup at your hotel in Monaco and travel west along the Esterel Corniche. This is one of the many coastal roads along the Mediterranean that offer graceful curves and gorgeous views.

Drive past the Esterel Massif, a mountain rock formation notable for its red color, to reach the town of Port Grimaud. With its network of canals spanned by small bridges, it's no wonder it has earned the nickname of 'Little Venice.'

Continue on to St Tropez for a leisurely walk along the inviting beachfront. Watch the luxury yachts bobbing in the port, and the beautiful people enjoying the atmosphere of the chic shops and cafés that line the streets. Make your way to the Place de Lys, a busy public square that holds the vibrant Provencal market (on Tuesdays only) where vendors sell enticing food treats.

Take a break for lunch at one of St Tropez's lovely restaurants (own expense) and enjoy some free time to see the city. Return to Monaco at the conclusion of your tour, with yet another scenic drive through the French Riviera.

Jean Franco's was a great guide, filling us in on the history of the Riviera as we drove from Monaco to St Tropez. Port Grimaud is a must-see, what a beautiful little place. My sister and I both thoroughly enjoyed the whole day.

Excellent trip. Our driver, unfortunately we didn't catch her name, but she was Dutch, was brilliant and very friendly. We enjoyed the trip more because there was only one other person with us which helped to give us more time to explore. We were picked up exactly on time and basically have no complaints at all and we will use Viator in the future, as we did last year as well.

1 star rating: I do not recommend this October 2016

Over the past two years, I have taken many tours using Viator and this is one tour that I looked very forward to doing. I saw two things all day: 30 minutes at Fort Giralde and then was taken to St. Tropez and dropped off for four hours to shop. I am not a shopper. If you are a shopper, then you will be in paradise. I was on the tour by myself. The tour guide did not tell me anything about this area. I learned nothing, but spent 152 for the tour. No one should book this tour. I learned afterward that usually you are given two hours to do the shops and then you are able to see a light house. I love light houses and would have enjoyed this very much. It was very, very, very disappointing.
