What To Expect

Make the most of your time in the principality with a hop-on hop-off bus tour in Monaco. Take in panoramic views from an open-top double-decker minibus, and disembark at any of the 12 stops to check out one of the main attractions or simply go for a walk. It's the ideal way to sightsee.

Visit sights like the Prince's Palace (Palais Princier) in Monaco-Ville (the old part of town). See the Monaco Cathedral, where both Princess Grace and Prince Rainier are buried. Walk along the Port of Monaco to see some of the world's most expensive yachts bobbing in the water. Do some high-class people-watching in Casino Square.

Choose any of the 12 stops to start your bus tour, including the Casino and Grimaldi Forum. A complete circuit of the entire route takes about one hour, but you can get on and off as many times as you want while your ticket is valid. Choose either a 1-day or 2-day ticket.

We went to Monaco for e few hours, so we took the hop on hop off bus. After 3 stops , we waited more than 60 min for the bus . It was a waste of time and money for us, because we had to walk and end the tour of the city early. It was big and expensive disappointment. I think I'll complain and ask for a refund

Buses do not run every 15 minutes . Mostly every 40-50 minutes, very u reliable, we almost missed our scheduled train back!
Wasted 2 hours looking for pick up spot.

We could not find the pick up spot. We asked everyone from metro staff to police personnel to store shop owners. I tried to call the contact number and nobody answered. I reached out to the contact person given via email and they did not respond for 4 hours. I have requested a refund.

The tour bus never showed up. There was no signage at the bus stop indicating the tour was cancelled. We received nothing from the tour company or Viator about cancellation. The email and phone contacts on the Viator pass were disconnected. The email on the bus website never replied. If the bus was not going to run during the Monaco Grand Prix, those dates should not have been sold. We expect a refund of the entire purchase price for 2 adults, 2 day passes.

Monaco is small but very hilly so the bus was an excellent way of getting to everything. Unfortunately the grand pix scaffolding was everywhere spoilt Monco for me
Great way to see Monte Carlo

We really enjoyed seeing Monte Carlo with the hop on hop off bus. It was a great way to get around since there are a lot of hills and construction and busy roads. The only issue was we did the whole route once and they included pick up and drop off at the cruise ship terminal, but in the afternoon we hopped in the bus again at the cruise ship terminal and rode up to the palace, but on the way back they skipped the terminal and didn’t tell us. Finally, when we realized we got off and walked over to the harbor boat. We would’ve gone all the way around the whole route again, without getting dropped off at the cruise ship terminal. Advice would be to let the driver know that you need to go to the cruise ship terminal so they can take the correct route.

I had a lovely tour an saw beautiful plases. But I used a lot of time looking for the stops. I came from Italy on a one day trip. I tried the day before my trip, to send a mail to the Viator guy and got the mail returned to me. Tried then to send a message on WhatsApp and have not got any answer to that.

Great experience with these buses! It was in time and took us to all the wonderful places described. We hopped off at the palace and purchased some items in a small bag. When we hopped back on the bus and got off at the Casino we left the bag in the bus with the purchased items. The driver was sincere and helpful and brought it back to us at the stop. Great way to explore the city and stop at all of the highlights. We chose the 2 day pass, rode the entire route at first, then decided where we wanted to get off and explore. There were a few times we waited 30 mins for a bus, rather than the advertised 15 mins.

Hop off, but no hop on again

We hoped off, and then the road was closed due to football game. No one advised us, so no hop on again, and had to find a transport home on our own.

A great way to get around

The Hop On Hop Off was a great option for us. We never realized how hilly actually Monaco is! We were staying at Le Meridien which is at the east end of the principality, and the bus was a mode of transportation for us by using the 2 day pass. We got to see a lot of Monaco and up high! so we were above and had a great view while touring and we were able to get a lot of great photos even from the bus!

Sound system was horrible. Plug in jacks didn’t work at some seats. Pre-recorded audio was not running when we were passing major sights. Driver was not announcing stops. I went downstairs to tell him and he said “Sorry, my friend (previous driver) switched off the microphone. Not what I expected from previous HOHO buses in other cities.
