Meet your guide at the cruise terminal once your ship docks in Monaco, where you'll board a luxury minibus and begin your small-group shore excursion. Choose a morning or afternoon departure.

Leaving Monaco behind, ascend one of the scenic Mediterranean coastal roads to reach the town of Eze. It's perched at roughly 1,400 feet (427 meters) in the hills, and offers wonderful views of the French Riviera below. Take some time to admire the historic streets of this Medieval village, browsing charming shops and galleries. Go on a guided tour of the Fragonard perfume factory to learn about the art and science of creating high-end scents.

Begin the drive back down toward Monaco, passing the quaint town of La Turbie on the way. It's sometimes referred to as the 'Terrace of Monaco,' and is home to a 1st-century BC Roman monument called the Trophy of the Alps (Trophée des Alpes)  which was built by Emperor Augustus.

Arriving in Monaco once again, you'll now have a chance to explore this unique principality. It's the second-smallest country on earth, though it feels very French. Those on the morning tour will get to witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Prince's Palace (Palais Princier), which happens every day at 11:55am.

Spend some time at the Monaco Cathedral, where Princess Grace and Prince Rainier are both buried, to hear about the principality's history. Next, drive along the city streets which make up the Formula One Grand Prix racing circuit. It's one of the most famous race courses in the world, and the event is extremely popular with auto racing fans.

Walk through Monte Carlo to see the extravagance on display in and around Casino Square, including manicured gardens, luxurious hotels and expensive cars. It's an excellent spot for people-watching.

At the conclusion of your tour, you'll be returned to the cruise terminal.

I have to say that this tour had the makings of being a disastrous day. We were met at the ship by our guide, Zara, who was absolutely fantastic. From there, it started to absolutely POUR rain. Our first stop was the perfume factory, which was a really interesting experience. Sort of like a wine tasting, but with your nose and different perfumes made at Fraganoud. After that, we made our way to Eze where it was still POURING. Zara took most of us to the top of hill (a pretty steep climb in the rain), and those who didn't want to go stayed in the little town to shop or get a coffee. After that, we were supposed to see the changing of the guards at the palace, but due to the rain, they didn't do it. We had the option of getting out of the car to walk around the palace for an hour and then over to the casino, but it was raining so hard that nobody wanted to leave the shelter of the van! As an alternative, Zara drove us all around Monte Carlo, making several loops to show us all the sites and gave a running commentary (very witty too!) of line in Monaco. It would have been miserable in the rain and honestly, we probably saw just as much as if we had walked around. She was wonderful and made a sunshine out of a rainy day!

The sites were good and our guide was excellent. Unfortunately you get very little time at the places you would like to spend time. This would be understandable if it was just because of the limited time of the tour, but the perfume factory tour was too much time and no one wanted to be there. It is just a stop to try and sell you something and took over 45 minutes of a 4 hour tour. I did not think this was our guides fault as he was doing what he was told to do but you feel a little swindled by it and we had no option to skip it. I would not recommend the tour strictly because of this. Eze was great and the palace area was too but you end up with only a few minutes at each to explore. I would not recommend the tour because of the perfume factory portion taking your time.
