Captain Kayron on the water raft was awesome! We acquired new knowledge about the Martha Brae River! The zip lining crew ( Earl, DeShawn, Richard and Bones) ensured that we had a great time. Definitely will be back

What a great experience! I had no idea Chukka was it’s own little area, or resort, I thought maybe we’d just be with the group and they’d take up to different areas, but everything was all within their Chukka grounds and that is very convenient. Everyone working was so nice, funny and informative I learned a little about Jamaica with each encounter and I loved that! They had a nice pool with a waterfall, a huge water slide, a bar, a rum tasting room (rum tasting was included in our package), a gift shop, an area for lunch (lunch was provided with our package) and great vibes. We chose the ultimate tour and the three excursions included was the Zip Lining, river tubing, and bamboo rafting. If you zipline they tell you to wear closed toe shoes or water shoes, if you wear water shoes I recommend ones with hard bottoms because it’s sort of a hike, we have to walk through the jungles to get to the certain zip lining points but it is a great experience, besides the mosquitos.. bring bug spray, they tell you too as well we just don’t listen. Our zip line guides Fritz(I probably spelled this wrong), Deshawn, Earl, and Omar we amazing! They made it so much fun. There are also 5 different zip lines that you do so that’s very cool as well, I read in a comment before about there only being a short zip line but it’s not true. River tubing was the most learning experience of the tour. Our Guide Jevan (maybe javon, I forgot how he said it was spelled, I’m sorry) and the other guy marlon were great as well! They kept things fun and interesting and encouraged us to take part in the full experience.. jumping into the deep and cold river after we toured through it and we loved every second, my husband jumped in three times! Lastly, the bamboo raft was so relaxing! I read a comment about this before too about how they said the guides don’t massage the men, I can’t speak to everyone’s experience but Lorenzo took care of me and my husband. He’s such a cool guy, we talked about where he’s from in Jamaica his goals, and just overall life. The foot massage was great and Lorenzo was overall a really good guide, we recommended him for sure. We love everything about our chukka experience and I encourage people to check it out! I feel like it was worth our money. They have so many different options of excursions to choose from so where one might not suit you, the other might. The only thing I wished was a little better was the check in times. We were the first group to arrive but we had to wait until all other groups came and got checked in to begin things and that’s kind of annoying because we were so excited to just get started.

We had a great experience and our tour guides were great. From our bus driver and tour guide to the Zip Line crew, Tubing crew, the rum tasting master, and the bamboo rafting guide, everyone was amazing. We enjoyed lunch, shopping, lounging at the pool, and enjoying the wilderness. The best part was the rum punch and the leg/foot massage on the raft ride!

I arrived to the lobby at 8am to catch the bus. The bus didn’t arrive until 8:30. The bus operator told me my name wasn’t on the list and another bus was coming and left. The Chakka rep showed up 5 mins later, I’m assuming she was late to work. She told me the bus just left and I would have to catch a taxi. I asked if the taxi could be reimbursed and she told me no, although the bus driver gave me wrong information. The taxi cost me $100. Luckily the taxi driver was nice and made sure to get us to the location as soon as possible. The first activity was zip lining which was amazing! Tamika and her team were awesome. We really enjoyed the views. Next was tubing. The preparation for tubing took longer than the actual tour. Next we ate. Food was ok. Afterwards we did the bamboo rafting. The scenery was nice. It was a quiet tour down the river. Tour guide didn’t speak too much. The limestone massage was very nice. We were then rushed back to the bus. The bus was supposed to leave at 4 but didn’t leave until around 4:30 because the tours were running late. We missed out on the rum tour, which I should’ve been reimbursed for along with the taxi cost. All in all I give the tour 2 stars. I would recommend the zip lining.

Highly Disappointed

The location of the excursion wasn't made clear and the transport to and from took a lot of time. Our bus was an 1 1/2 late so between transport and tardiness we wasted approximately 4 hours of our day. Upon arrival, we were informed that we needed our drivers license for the ATV. We were on vacation - we didn't think about needing a drivers license, nor did other participants. They did find a work around but only after a long battle of arguing. Finally, we were directed to sign-up to begin our activities. We were told to wait another 30 minutes for an ATV opening. We were directed to other activities while waiting, which were a bird aviary (not impressive) and a challenge course. When I inquired about the challenge course, I was brushed off and told to come back later. So we waited and were finally taken to ride ATVs. The ride was fun and the course was rugged but it was dusty and not what was expected. Mud would have been great but eating dust was not. It was, although, the highlight of the excursion. Next, it was suggested we eat lunch. Lunch was good and the pool area is nice. Then, go back and wait some more for zip lining. There were only 4 platforms and none of them were very long. Other reviews have said there are 5 platforms but we only did 4??? This activity was spent waiting for other people to finish and visiting with other participants. Very little time actually doing anything. River tubing closed early for unknown reasons.Didn't care to visit the plantation home, wasn't in the mood for rum tasting after all the aggravation, and the water slide was no more than I would see at a local pool in my home town. The fall was much smaller than I imagined and there was nothing challenging or active about navigating it. Just a leisurely walk downhill through water. Pretty scenery but just a concrete pool, not a waterfall. This is advertised as a 12 in 1 activity and I can barely come up with 12 things to do and only a few are active. Thrill has no place in the description of this tour other than maybe the zip line, ATV and possibly the challenge course (which I never got to do,) Pictures show jumping from the waterfall into the pool and I don't believe that is even possible with the shallow depth of the pool. This was time and money wasted and I strongly recommend finding another tour for the specific activities you want to do.

Unable to confirm trip

On this excursion I booked it for my 22 year old son and the same thing happen again unable to confirm with the people picking him up the day before. Has my son told me the person who was guiding the tubes soak them without notice and ruin his five hundred dollars cell phone; which also ruin the entire day for him. Luckily his Father promised to help him buy another and that helped him through the rest of the vacation other wise I know that he would have made the trip miserable.

Worth the money

I had a great time. Everyone was very nice. The lunch was great and the rum punch was on point. Make sure you bring water shoes and a towel. You can rent a locker for 5.00. It's a sign up process for the activities but you will more than likely be able to complete a least 4 activities in the alotted time. I would suggest zip line, etc, then water tubing bc atving is dusty. However, they do have shower rooms. We had a great time and I think you will too. Tip your guides. Enjoy!
