This tour was completely worth it. Our guide, Mr E, had a terrific stage presence. It was so much fun to see how well he wove whatever was really happening around us. A truck rumbling by noisily when he was recreating a prayer that saved the first settlers, so he dramatically yelled at them that they were getting in the way of his being saved. It was very easy to see that Mr E was really invested in all the stories and legends he was telling us.He'd obviously done a TON of research about the stories on his own, going around and talked to various owners and neighbors of the places that are haunted. He actually got to go into the cells of the Last Days under the court house once, by approaching a security guard when he arrived at an event unexpectedly early. This gave an extra depth to his descriptions, as they were so vivid coming from him He was so much fun to listen to.
Mr E was very good at working with the younger people on the tour, giving them a chance to engage on their own level, as well as working and adapting various facts for people who were from either elsewhere in Canada, or the States such as myself. We were all given the feeling that we were being included on an equal level.
At the very end of the tour, after answering any questions we had, Mr E even helped us with directions back to the nearest metro.
I would highly recommend this tour to other people, visitors and locals alike, and my hostess has said that she would like to take more people who she sees to see the tour as well.
Great actors that have you captivated with their stories from the beginning. Rain or shine this tour takes place. We had a really rainy night, which just added to fun. Got to see parts of the city which we had never seen before.
Mr. E was a great tour guide. This is a must do if your going to Montreal!! A lot of walking but worth it!
We had such a wonderful time! The teen daughters loved it! An interesting twist on the history of Montreal. Donovan was outstanding as the ghoulish tour guide
Definitely one of the highlights of our visit the scenery, stories, characters... Very engaging and entertaining! But there's a reason they say no one under 12... could be a little intense for even 12-14 yr olds
Kinda more of a history tour than a ghost tour. Our guide really got into character and we completely enjoyed the time spent with him!
Our guide for this was wonderful! Her story telling and acting was amazing! It was creepy and fun all rolled into one - I would definitely recommend taking this tour.
The drama of the guide and the beauty of Montreal by darkness made this an interesting and entertaining tour. Learn history with a dose of reality to the backdrop of Montreal. Great guide.
The ghost walk was great! The guide was amazingly animated and passionate about the tour and was very knowledgeable about the area. Would recommend for anyone wanting a neat walk through Old Montreal!
The Montreal Ghost Tour was amazing!! Our guide was very wonderful and he did an amazing job explaining it all to us! I would have liked to do both tours, but we had to leave the next day! I will do this tour again, and would recommend it to anyone!

we took the ghost hunt tour, there were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 tweens. We all really enjoyed the tour. It was very professional and we were all very impressed at how well the actors played their parts. The only negitive point of our whole tour 90min. was an inappropriate comment to one of our tweens at the end of the tour, by the last actor, It frightened one of the tweens. But apart from that I would highly recommend it to these age groups, not for younger children as it is a little scarry. We scored it a 9 out of 10.
This was a unique and interesting tour to go on. Overall, I would recommend this tour but your experience will solely be based on your tour guide. It was exactly what my family and I had predicted the tour to be like. Tales of hauntings and deaths were told as we walked around Old Montreal in the evening. The tour guides all arrived dressed in spooky outfits which really added to the overall mood of the tour.
However, our tour guide was a bit odd. My family and I felt that we had this particular tour guide because she could speak English while the others spoke French. She tried very hard to be animated but at times, you could see people in the group wandering off or simply talking to each other or over her. Towards the end of the tour was the worst of it. She tried re-enacting a skit which I'm still not too sure what it was about which resulted in her pretending convulse and bleed out to death while lying on the streets of Old Montreal. People passing by us were staring judgementally as to why we were not helping this poor woman as she screams and cries out in pain. Before the end of her act nearly half of the group had already left and snuck away... I think it would be best for her not to go through with her act.
Great tour and our guide was so much fun as he was dressed in costume.
My friend and I really enjoyed learning about some of the history in Old Montreal. Would recommend to anyone going to Montreal to take the tour.
Pretty Cool. I liked it some scary things but nothing gets me to believe in ghosts. nice tour guide. nothing bad enjoyed the tour very much!
An interesting tour. Tour guide was great - stayed in character the entire time.
The tour was a lot of fun. A great opportunity to walk around Old Montreal, learn some history and be entertained.
It was a perfect night for a Ghost Walk The Narrator was excellent - very articulate, animated, and knew
his history well. However, we were expecting a little more excitement. We were really hoping to see
a few apparitions to appear either in the dark alleyways or disappearing into a haunted establishment.
It would have made it so much better (although not real). . . ..! However, we did have a great time and
I would recommend it just for the history lesson.
Thank you for the experience! J. Thibaudeau
An interesting way to see Old Montreal and get a lot of great information. Our tour guide was a bit over-the-top but she was clearly enthusiastic and my son and I had some good laughs.
The tour guide was great and he took us to many stops. He was fairly knowledgeable with the local history. Great acting.
