Highly recommend using Viator they were very accommodating picking us up From the hotel, and our bus tour guide was very informative and patient with all our questions and she was very knowledgeable, the bud ride was comfortable and provided 1 stop on the way and one stop back allowing travellers to take a break, the whole entire day went very well, our tour guide from Viator ensured our meeting points at every stop, she even used a flag and stood there waiting for all of us to gather, very professional service Thanks agian And will use Viator when travelling !

I really enjoyed Montmorency Falls and the time spent there was just right. The next stop was completely unnecessary (a buffet in a strip mall with no other restaurants)as we had already had a previous bathroom stop at the Falls. I would have preferred more time in Quebec City and we would have certainly eaten there. Instead, we were left to wander a ghost mall when the highlight of the tour is Quebec City! The harbour cruise was perfectly lovely and the guided tour by Tony was very informative. Please eliminate the generic buffet stop, it was poorly attended and better food was a few minutes away in Quebec City.

So worth it!!!

This was a great trip! Neo, who also goes by Miguel, was a great tour guide. Because of his bilingual narration, I was able to practice listening to French to see what I could pick up, but I didn’t miss any content because I could also hear it in English. Nicole was our walking tour guide, and she too did a great job of making sure all of us understood in both English and French. I loved Rue du Petit Champlain! The shops and restaurants of Vieux Quebec (Old Quebec City) were adorable! And ending the tour with a narrated boat ride was wonderful! My legs were so tired by that point, but my belly was full, I’d made unique purchases, and I’d learned a lot along the way. If you get a chance to try the Sortilege on the boat, I highly recommend it. It’s maple syrup infused whiskey!!! And it was on special during the half-way narration break. Keep in mind, there’s a 3-hour drive from Montreal to Quebec City - and vice versa - so come prepared with something to keep you occupied, or enjoy the amazing conversation with the person assigned to the seat next to you if you’re traveling alone!

The tour was well organized, tour leader was energetic until the end and delivered the info is 3 languages. Pick up was on time and the city of Quebec nice to see. We did the river cruise which was good, and we visited Montmornecy waterfall. Nice programme.

Not worth it

There was no memorable part. For the most part whe was busy taking payment for a gondola ride. Also the boat tour. Should have been left out. Unless you are right in front of the person talking you could not understand it hear him. Quebec was nice but rather than spending 90 min on the boat it would be better spent touring the town

While I do not like to write bad reviews, and Quebec City is simply a spectacular place, unfortunately the tour was not managed as well as it could have been. The tour guide, Caroline, started off well, however there was a lot of confusion and surprise charges, as well as long lines in the heat in Montmorency. Also, given the extreme heat in Quebec, the guide should have rounded up all the tourgoers and arranged to have the bus turned on and cooled down while everyone was getting on the bus at the same time. What happened is 70% of the guests were sitting on the bus in over 90 degree temperatures and the bus driver would not start the bus due to local bi-laws. But the reason some guests would not get on the bus was because it was soo hot, so there was no way to solve the issue unless the tour guide would had managed this better to avoid this situation. They demanded we get on the bus by a certain time, but refused to have humane conditions to wait on the bus. My cousin was literally almost fainting. Also, the bus driver, Ivan, could not figure out how to turn the A/C cool enough, so the customers on the bus had to show the tour guide, who ended up showing Ivan. Also, we were asked on the way home if we wanted to be taken to the hotel in the same manner we were picked up. This was very confusing for everyone because that is what we paid for and to hear that potentially that would not happen was very confusing. We were also told that because there was a rain storm coming there could be no bathroom break on the way from Quebec to Montreal. The storm never transpired.

Good: the hotel pick up is on time. Tour guide on the cruise was very good. Quebec city is beautiful Bad: our tour guide on the bus, she is the worst tour person I had ever had. It felt more like bus transportation than a tour. The cruise was so packed with little shade. The small van picked us up from hotel then transported us to the big bus. Let me say, the van driver was a dangerous driver. I’m glad we made it to the big bus alive. He drove in the wrong direction on a one way road. If the road was blocked by cones, he would remove the cones to drive through. One point we drove on the sidewalk. Next time I will go to Quebec on my own to save some money.

Horrible experience. Shame on Viator and the tour company for hiring a Chinese-speaking guide for an English tour

Quebec City itself is beautiful. However, the guide did not know how to speak English. I blame Viator for sending a Chinese-speaking guide to an English tour. This is unacceptable. We water our day and learned nothing from the guide. Total scam on Viator’s part. The tour organizers should hire guides with some knowledge of the history of olde Quebec City and proficient in the language.

Comfortable journey. Montmorency falls are very scenic. Quebec City has got beautiful streets, excellent restaurants and the architecture is amazing. The cruise on the St.Lawrence river was lovely and informative. Would have expected the bus guide Jason to be more informative. We were all left to explore the Quebec city streets by ourselves, with no background, information or history provided. Will surely not recommend this tour.

The tour guide was excellent. She continually pointed out information. She complimented everyone for meeting on time and respecting everyone’s time. She was EXCELLENT. The only problem we had was the bus that delivered us back to the hotel. He rode us around for an hour while he did other pickups and drop offs. I will say when I called the company the next day to complain about that they called me back with an apology.

The tour and the guide were great. The cruise is not worth the time or the money. The problem came in the drop off back to the hotel. The driver was incredibly rude and it took him an hour to get us back.
