Great tour and cultural experience!
Pia_L, Jan 2023
We loved everything about our tour! From getting floating coconuts out of the water and later learn how to open them and make coconut milk, to the wonderful snorkeling experience where we saw sharks, rays and all kind of colorful fish and coral garden. Lunch on the moto was delicious and fun and even though we picked a very rainy day we would do it again. Awesome experience! Our guide Mano was super fun and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour!

Great snorkeling trip.
Ray_S, Jan 2023
We saw turtles, dolphins, sting rays, sharks, and some amazing sea-life. Lunch was good, and my wife was able to get a hat made for her. Great being out on the water.

OMG moments from start to finish!!
Julie_A, Jan 2023
Outstanding experiences and best snorkling ever!! Loved every moment -- the boat gliding past gorgeous vistas in clear tourquoise blue water. Saw turtles, coral reef with numerous tropical fish and swam with sharks and manta rays. Wilfred and Elvis treated us like family providing an unforgetable, beautiful day in paradise.

We had a snafu getting to...
Daniel_G, Jan 2023
We had a snafu getting to Moorea from Tahiti and missed our ferry. They waited for us to arrive. Demonstration of local way to open coconut, to shave the inside of coconut, of how to weave hats, and of how to wear a sarong were all memorable. Coconut/tuna ceviche was really tasty, and local medicine class was informative. Would've been the perfect experience if they had water-shoes for us to borrow for when we needed to get off the boat to go onto the island for lunch and when we returned to the boat. My feet got cut up in a couple of places by the coral.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
'Ia ora na Daniel, Thank you for your feedback. We were so pleased to share with you a part of our culture. We are sincerely sorry that your feet were cut by corals... In general, we recommend our visitors to wear water-shoes or slippers to walk on the beach. Looking forward to welcome you again, Māuruuru
Best snorkeling tour in Mo’orea!
Armando_L, Jan 2023
Everything about this tour was very memorable! We stayed in Tahiti and took the first ferry out to Mo’orea at 7:20am on a Sunday. We were greeted by a driver in Mo’orea once we got off the ferry. He drove us to the dock area where they have the boats. The tour guide was absolutely funny and shared a lot of interesting facts about the island. 1st stop is the area with sting rays and small sharks. He gave us plenty of time to snorkel around the boat. 2nd stop is an area with beautiful coral and fish. For us, the current was strong so we walked along the beach to a certain area so we can snorkel back to the boat along with the current. Afterwards, we stopped at an area where we would learn how to peel a coconut. Lunch was served shortly after. The area was beautiful and the food was amazing. When we want back to where we started, they provided transportation back to the ferry area.

'Ia ora na, Thank you very much for sharing your experience. Looking forward to welcome you again, Māuruuru
Must-do family friendly experience!
Diana_R, Jan 2023
I booked this because I was interested in a family experience more than a "snorkeling" trip per say. I couldn't have been more pleased. I had grandparents and grandkids who were able to enjoy. The captain was amusing and respectful, speaking in English for the tour. The best part was swimming with the sharks and rays. I gave 4 stars only because there were no bathrooms available. Also, would have been nice to see hand sanitizer at certain points. Lastly, the Bar-B-Q was underwhelming but maybe that's because I had seen these pictures of perfectly charred skewers which was not the case. Still, a beautiful set-up and lovely experience worth it!
Response from Host, Jan 2023
'Ia ora na Diana, Thank you very much for your feedback. We take your comments into account, it is useful to improve our service. Best regards, Māuruuru
Sharks, rays, beautiful fish, and songs in the water
wes_t, Jan 2023
AWESOME. Totally exceeded my expectations. Swimming with the rays and black tip sharks, learning how to make fresh poisson cru on the beach, playing the drum on the way back in. Our guides Norle and Elvis were fantastic. And when Elvis played La Bamba on the ukelele while singing it in Polynesian — the bomb.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
'Ia ora na, It is so a pleasure to read you. Thank you very much for your feedback. We're happy to know you enjoyed your tour. All the best, Māuruuru
Magic Day out in Moorea
Andy_M, Jan 2023
A wonderful day out. The sand bar experience with the rays and sharks was once in a lifetime stuff. Beautiful scenery and interesting and passionate guides made the day a pleasure. Bring the sunscreen. Lunch was delicious and the ceviche freshly prepared was next level. Thanks guys Andy and Cortez from Australia

Great time, good food and great guides!
Jennifer_B, Jan 2023
The tour guides were fun and interactive. On time pickup, consistent communication on what we were doing. There was plenty of free time to explore/snorkel yourself. Lunch was your traditional Tahitian lunch and decent. Overall a good experience and fun time.

12 ppl per boat, great way to meet other tourists
Melanie_M, Jan 2023
Found the easy pick up point, collection was on time and straightforward with checking our names off a list. Our host was a real character, but it was great to hear a sincere thank you - they very much appreciate the business with so many tour operators to chose from. This is the best tour in which to familiarise yourself with sting rays and black tip sharks. Take reef shoes and fins.
Response from Host, Jan 2023

Mo'orea Motorized Outrigger Snorkeling & Lunch

Don't miss out on this amazing tour.
Tim_D, Dec 2022
One of the best tours we have ever experienced! We were staying on Tahiti and took the first ferry over and were picked up at the terminal on Moorea. Our guide was awesome, teaching us about the island and it's history. Snorkeling in the beautiful water with rays, sharks, and all sorts of fish. Followed by learning to peel and open coconuts and a delicious lunch. Did I mention our guides made us hats out of palm leaves? If you do one activity while visiting French Polynesia, this is it. We plan to go back and stay on Moorea and will do this tour again with friends joining us.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
'Ia ora na Tim, Thank you very much for your message. Indeed our captain and guide are really passionate by his job as a guide and shares his knowledge with great joy. It was such a pleasure for us too. Looking forward to welcome you again :) Māuruuru
I don’t know where to begin…
Lynnette_D, Dec 2022
We took the tender from our cruise ship to meet the outrigger canoe that awaited us…hah to all of those who remained at the dock waiting for their tours! We were the only ones from the ship and we joined three other couples who were staying at resorts for our journey. We proceeded to an area where the sting rays and sharks were plentiful and the water was crystalline…forgot to mention that we picked up some floating coconuts along the way…more on that later! We then went to another area to snorkel and view coral in supremely calm and clear water…this was followed by our ride to the island where we were taught how to open coconuts (there they are), tie a sarong, make poison cru, drink Tahitian beer…a total cultural immersion! We were regaled by ukulele music whilst on the canoe and on the islet. Wilfred is a star!

Perfect Day & great value for $
Thomas_H, Dec 2022
This is a not miss experience. We were picked up from our lodge at about 7.30am (Moorea beach lodge) where we were taken to the boat dock. Introduced to our guide and then left for the day on the water. We saw dolphins, turtles, stingrays and sharks. We went into the different bays and swam on a sandbank with the sharks/rays. Taken to another spot on islands off the coast where there were more fish. Taken for lunch on the other side of the second spot where we could play around and feed the stingrays and the sharks were come up close too. The cracking open coconuts and drinking the water & eating them was memorable. This trip is good because everything is included in the price and you only have a maximum of 12 guests. Drinks (alcohol, water & juice), lunch and fresh fruit, hotel pickup, snorkelling gear is included. Not every tour does this so it’s something to consider as transport, food and drinks are not very cheap in French polynesia. Our guides were amazing and made us feel welcomed, informed about the history of the island and were good with the kids on our tour too. A+ would recommend. I did this with my partner and we are late 20’s from Australia/NZ

Nice experience
Erin_R, Dec 2022
It was cool swimming with and petting the Sting rays and learning how to crack open coconuts. Also got to go on a remote island. The lunch was smaller than expected and not a bbq that we are used to. Overall good experience, not much snorkeling though.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Hi, Thank you for your feedback and apologies for. You are one of the few to comment on our food, but we won't hold it against you. Fortunately, you still enjoyed your excursions with us. Sincerely

Wilfred was a wonderful guide and host. We had such a great time. Enjoyed snorkeling in the Coral Gardens, seeing the rays and sharks. Lunch on the motu was very good. It was the last excursion of our trip and the best!!

Beautiful adventure!!!
Shannon_L, Dec 2022
Beautiful adventure! Swimming with sharks and sting rays was the highlight of the tour, but the guide provided an experience above and beyond our expectations. We learned about the island history and culture. He shared stories and traditions with our group, including an awesome local lunch, coconut cracking, and hat making. This tour is highly recommended and if we were on the island longer we would have done it twice.
Response from Host, Dec 2022
