Spectacular view but....
zachariahkhoo, Aug 2022
Unfortunately on 2 August 2022, our way to Mt Cook was on a stormy weather. I didn't get to stay back to long to take enough videos and pictures. The only time we had a chance to keep ourselves dry was at Mt Cook visitor centre. My shoes, undies and socks were damp during most part of the tour. The salmon farm serving salmon chowder was yummy. Kreig the local Aussie tour guide from Cheeky Kiwi has played his mobile phone collection music a bit too loud inside the mini van.
Excellent!

Couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Perfect winter day to see Mount Cook and a great hike to the Hooker Valley, which I chose as an option (others opted for a heli ride or a shorter hike). The views were simply STUNNING and so worth it, even for the non-hiking types like myself. Dan was exceptional! So refreshing to have a young and energetic guide who’s very well versed, educated, and passionate about topography and geography. He took good care of us and I learned a lot about the South Island! Thank you so much and can’t wait to do it all over again! 😊
Fantastic day, awesome guide.
Hajnalka_M, Jun 2022
Fantastic day, it well worth it, the landscape and short walks does the pay back. Our guide Dan, was/is a legend, very skilled, friendly, helpful and entertaining, not to mention the knowledge that he shared with us. After 12 hours drive , walk in the rain, cold weather we all returned to Queenstown in very good mood and wonderful memories to share at home.

This is a wonderful experience, would recommend it to my friends, the hiking is easy, and the views on the road are excellent

Thanks for your feedback, Sean. We agree - it doesn't get better than Aoraki Mount Cook, does it?!
Fantastic day trip.

Good Mt. Cook tour programme for short-time visitor
Pornpop_U, Jun 2021
The tour company and tour guide were very nice. The tour programme allows sufficient time to complete roundtrip hiking in the Hooker Valley even though the weather on the day was mostly showery so that we could not see the whole Mt. Cook but we had great time hiking with pictures in a showery weather.
Great way to spend your day
TIMOTHY_R, Feb 2021
Excellent tour with a delightful guide. Highly recommend the tour company as well as the hike up to a glacier lake. The atmosphere is magical.
Wow - What a day!
Jill_H, Jun 2020
We were so lucky, it was a beautiful crisp winters day and the mountains were just stunning. The tour was great fun and our guide, Kreig, was very friendly, informative and helpful. The long drive was easy with plenty of photo stops, refreshments, funny videos and the odd sing along. When we arrived at Aoraki, Kreig gave us lots of options on which tracks to take for different experiences and how to make the best of our time there. Thoroughly recommend.

A fantastic trip with loys of beautiful scenery. Out tour guide Cal made the drive go by fast by sharing loads of information and keeping the tour fun. The side trip to Tasman Glacier was an amazing bonus.
Amazing

Clear day on mt. Cook.
Josh_D, Feb 2020
Kreig was a great guide, really helped us decide the right hike for us. Making this a great experience. Drive is broken up nicely to not seem too monotonous. Something for everyone.
Superb

Mt Cook Small Group Adventure Tour - Departing from Queenstown
Connor_R, Aug 2019
It was a perfect day to go on this tour! The tour does rely on the weather. When I booked the tour, they did cancel my initial date due to bad weather, but was definitely worth the wait. The tour guide (Krieg) was friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable about the Mountains and general facts about New Zealand! It was a small group when travelling to Mt. Cook which gave more time to ask questions and get to know the group better! Its an experience that i believe everyone should witness because pictures do not do the trip justice.
Our guide was great!
TuyetHuong_N, Aug 2019
Went with our guide Krieg who was so knowledgeable and flexible. It had snowed heavily during the latter half of our trip and he was super flexible in giving us suggestions of things we can safely do. Fortunately, we made it to walk and see the glacier lake. The walk and the lake were beautiful. Would recommend.
Excellent Service
BERNADETTE_R, Jul 2019
I enjoyed the small group tour last Tuesday with Cheeky Kiwi Travel (oops, I forgot the tour guide/driver's name). We don't need to hurry in each stop and we did a little short hikes in two places. He made sure our trip was all worth it. I recommended Cheeky Kiwi Travel for your trip to Queenstown.
Beautiful place and nice people!
RAZEL_P, Jul 2019
Our Tour Guide Dane (Daniel) was very nice, friendly and very informative. Mt Cook and Lake Pukaki was spectacular. Chicken Pie was the best and Salmon Farm was cool. Lunch buffet at Alpine Centre was good, a lot of options. It was a relaxing and happy trip with the group (Jade, Flo, Lane, Hunter & Joe). Highly recommend this tour with Dane.

Tour was well paced, weather was good except for a short drizzle. Tour guide Dan was cheerful and had great sense of humor. Gave sufficient time for photo taking. Overall great experience from start to end of tour. Highly recommend
