Loved our tour guide!!
David_A, Jun 2023
Conni, our tour guide was excellent! Very personable. She actually went around to each of us and asked what we wanted to get from this experience. I don’t believe I have ever encountered a tour guide that was so informative. She made the 5 hour trip well worth every penny!! 😉

The tour guide, Charlotte, was absolutely fantastic and very informative. The only issue was time. I believe this tour should be longer than 3 hrs. I missed much of the museum displays and signage outside. I did purchase the two books recommended by Charlotte so hopefully I will be able to learn more.
Moving and impressive

Our guide Connie was extremely knowledgeable but also very sensitive when imparting the necessary distressing facts on this tour. Hard though it is, everyone should visit a concentration camp in order to fully understand the enormity of this terrible piece of history.
A must see experience
Steve_R, May 2023
A must see when traveling to Germany, lest we never forget the past to make the future a better place. The tour guide was really well informed and answered every question with an expansive story to each one.

Well organized trip. Well informed, communicative and pleasant guide. Insufficient time for the individual site visit part.
Chilling reminder of the past, warning for the future
Ian_S, May 2023
Alex provided a comprehensive overview of how Dachau was developed as a labour camp for disaffected political opponents, and evolved into a concentration camp during the war. A salient reminder of what happened and a warning not to let it happen again
Excellent

Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Presented a difficult and sensitive subject with grace and dignity. Did a great job moving a large group. Highly recommend

Our guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable and passionate about this subject. Would like to recommend him but can’t recall his name. How can I find that out?
May it never happen again.
Marilyn_G, May 2023
This tour was excellent starting with the tour guide Alex. It was really helpful to have him take us to and from Dachau on the trains and buses. He is a very pleasant, friendly and very well informed man who gave us lots of relevant information. He showed us particular things of interest and also gave us time in which to look at things ourselves. It was a perfect combination. In many ways it’s a hard tour to do because of the very nature of the concentration camp. It’s impossible to imagine how human beings could treat other human beings in such a horrible way. The things that affected me most of all were the decontamination area, the gas chamber and the crematorium. When you see these areas it really hits home how despicable the Nazis were in their dealings with their fellow human beings. It is a very worthwhile tour to do and I highly recommend it.
Great
Sue_h, May 2023
Carol was great. Good information, kept our somewhat large group organized and informed. It was a cool, wet day but a good way to get a better idea of some of the torture they went through with standing in the cold rain for hours. Can’t even image it during winter.
This is why it’s happening again
Paige_M, May 2023
The issue isn’t really the tour group, as such, but that the Dachau Museum has such lax standards for historic interpretation. There are likely thousands of descendants of the townspeople that should be involved in the tours. Dachau needs to be personal. But they live in former SS houses, so perhaps it’s too uncomfortable. I found the entire experience heartbreaking, but not for the reason I expected. It was surface where it should have been hallowed. There shouldn’t be a cafe, but at least don’t purposefully take us there. This place is sacred. Don’t make me watch people eat ice cream before attempting to connect me to incomprehensible deprivation. I cannot overstate my profound disappointment in your tour company, the museum, and the inhabitants of Dachau itself.
Never forget!
Christophe_T, Apr 2023
Very educational and emotional visit! Our amazing guide, Connie, illustrated the tour with some stories related to that period and this was really moving. Thank you so much. 🙏

Conni was a fantastic tour guide. I learned a lot from her and was really glad I went on this tour in Dachau.
A phenomenal experience, recommend doing as a tour
Lauren_K, Apr 2023
This was a phenomenal tour. We had Connie as our guide and she led an incredibly informative tour. I’m so glad to have done this experience as part of a tour and am so grateful to have had Connie! She took the time to learn about the group and why we had decided to visit Dachau so she could address this in the tour. It was a very emotional experience, but this is to be expected, doing it as part of a tour provided really valuable context. I cannot recommend this experience more highly to other travellers, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Connie as guide! Thanks so much
Amazing Storyteller Connie
Stephanie_M, Mar 2023
There were so many incredible insights and impressions I will treasure from this experience facilitated our growth. The impact of our visit to Dachau will forever be imprinted on me. walking the ground where so many struggled, resisted and were murdered brought so many emotions and questions to the surface; I know I will be processing the experience for a long while. In particular, I couldn’t imagine that human beings would take everything from other human beings. Another part of the journey that really impacted me was walking the grounds of the camp. The first element that really hit me from this experience was how important the preservation of this history. we absolutely need to remember so that we can make choices to stand up and speak out against injustices. At some places, you have to concentrate to see the remains of the camp as nature covers it and erases the evidence. Other parts, like the guard towers and crematorium, stand all too tall from the foliage—reminding us of how humanity can be so destructive. Connie is an empathetic and powerful storyteller that brought history to life. She cared to ensure understanding for everyone in the group. Highly recommend Connie for anyone looking to deeply understand history of Dachau
Great tour, highly recommended

I was impressed by the memorial museum, for its variety of information and images. The detailed explanations of our guide were very helpful, as well as certain questions that he raised, always attentive and also approachable to answer any questions that might arise. The tour was very enjoyable, with moments to explore by yourself and small breaks.
A Tour of Hell on Earth

An extremely emotional experience, everyone should visit Dachau at least once in their lifetime to see how fortunate they are. The whole tour was brilliantly hosted and described by the very knowledgeable Carlotta, what she didn't know (very little!) she found out. Thank you for an unforgettable day.

A moving and educational experience
Hilary_G, Feb 2023
My visit to Dachau, guided by Conni, was a profoundly moving experience. It was my main goal during my 2 day visit to Munich. I learned many things that I hadn't previously known about Dachau and the many other camps operated by the Nazis prior to and during WWII. I hope that we never forget this dark period in human history and that it never again happens.
Excellent Tour and Outstanding Guide!

There were twice the number of people on the tour then quoted as maximum. The tour involved too much time standing around trying to hear the guide. She was knowledgeable but unfortunately had too many people to deal with.
An eye-opening experience
elizabeth_k, Dec 2022
There was an eerie beauty around the vast grounds where such incredible tragedies and sorrows occurred. The exhibition was sensitively displayed both informatively and graphically but expanded upon by our exceptional guide, Conni. Her extensive knowledge of historic facts enlightened us all to the extent of what occurred at that time. Her talk was always very heartfelt and at times emotionally challenging to hear but she was always very mindful of her group and made sure we were all ok. It was certainly a very eye-opening experience and one everybody should do in their lifetime to gain a deeper insight to a place in time.
Would happily recommend

Alex was our guide. His knowledge of the history and his respect to the site was excellent. Well organised, easy to find meeting point and tour I would recommend.
Great tour!
pamgoestravelling, Dec 2022
Carlota who brought us along on the guided tour was great! It was a good way to learn about the Dachau camp without having to read everything off the board for it is a more interactive way. She was able to answer any doubts or questions that we had to give better insights into the place. It is definitely worth it to take a guided tour than going by yourself.
