Our tour guide Heidi was very knowledgable about everything beer, took us to some of the older braühaus in Germany, the octoberfest grounds and to see the Lady of Bavaria Statue. Easy to make friends over a beer
Great guide. Great beer. Great company. Definitely do this tour if you are looking for a good way to try multiple local beers, and it is a great way to start off the night.
Average guide, good beers. great bars. Downside: too much alcohol for me not for anyone over 30.
This tour was amazing! Such a great way to see some of the big breweries in the city and taste different beers. Shelley was an amazing tour guide and really made it a lot of fun! She gave such interesting backgrounds and the history of each brewery that enhanced the experience. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city!
Very fun tour with the guide Pilar. Great way to end the day in a relaxed and light feeling.
If you wanna meet people, make friends and discovery some bars and restaurants is OK, I recommend. But, if you look for more informations about beers, choose other tour. This tour is nice for a walking, make friends and drink beers.
Great way to meet new friends and just get a taste of German beer, the metro, and culture. There was a description of the been making process that could have been eliminated and instead a focus on types of beers made in Germany substituted. Tasting flights of beers a couple of pubs would be advised. Then, later in the evening, you choose your own based on your acquired knowledge.
A very enjoyable time exploring the different beer halls in Munich. Our hostess was filled with energy and did a great job leading us around and assuring that we had a good time. The group jelled so well, that we were still together at midnight sharing beers and stories. I would recommend that you first take the Bavarian Beer and Food Evening Tour in Munich tour on your first night to get a better history and understanding of the production of beer then take this tour to experience what you've learned. Prost!
it was a nice way to spend an evening walking around Munich in the evening. Would have liked to see more trivia as part of the tour.
The tour consisted of around 10 people and our guide was Carlos, who was very cheery. Actually there was some change and miss in the content of the tour offered, which I am not sure whether it's a slip from Viator or the tour company!
First of all, there was no Jägermeister shot! We had an initial beer not in a hall, then went into a beer hall where we had 3 samples. Then onto a beer garden which we have the option to purchase beer and food! So kindly check the matter and clarify accordingly.
About a group of 30 of us were on the tour. We took the subway system
which works on an honour system for payment. Nothing was paid by us
or the guide for using the system. Does Viator have a method of paying
for this transit system based on honour?
The tour started out well but there were some discrepancies between the tour and the description on the website. According to the website we would be visiting 3 beer halls, we visited 2. We were also under the impression we would be going to the HB, we did not. Our tour guide was good but the overall tour was a disappointment.
The young girl was very knowledgeable and pleasant but we never knew the names of the beer we sampled. Although never stated, we felt compelled to drink the 12 or 16 oz glass in a hurried manner so as not to stall the group and keep the tour moving. Frankly, it was too many stops and no time to sit and comfortabley drink and enjoy the beer. It would have been nice to have something written down to record or remember the beer we sampled. Also, for our family to end the tour in the hostel bar was not the most relaxing way to end the tour. The tour would be great for young adults, however, the 2 young adults who accompanied our tour left before it was over for medical reasons. Again we did sample the beer, and pleasant tour guide, just not very well organized for people to sit and relax and savor the beer.
It was ok. Our tour guide an airhead just out college that knew nothing about beer and very little about the history of the beer halls was a nice enough person though. I recommend doing research on your own and not paying for this.
