What You Can Expect

Munich Super Saver: City Bike Tour plus Bavarian Beer and Food Evening

Sip on different brews of beer on an Evening Bavarian Beer and Food Tour!

Munich Bike Tour (3 Hours):Meet and greet the tour guide and group near the main station in central Munich. There will be a brief introduction to Munich before beginning the approximately 3-hour ride around and through this capital city of Bavaria and one of the most popular destinations in Germany.

Because there is so much to see in Munich, this tour takes advantage of the many old pedestrianized medieval streets the city offers. With frequent stops to learn about the sites and to take pictures, it all makes for a most enjoyable way to explore this fascinating place.

Cycling in Munich accounts for 17 percent of all traffic. In fact, Munich named itself Germany's Radlhauptstadt, or bicycle capital, in the summer of 2010. Around 80 percent of its population owns a bicycle.

Ride through Königsplatz, a square built in the style of European neo-classicism in the 19th century and a center of cultural life in Munich. There’s also the large Odeonsplatz square and Marienplatz, the city’s main square since 1158.

Also, ride along Englischer Garten, Europe's largest city park and stop at the Chinese Tower beer garden (Chinesischer Turm) for a break and beverage.

Throughout the tour, the guide will provide ample information about Munich’s past and present — and maybe even offer some insight into where the city is headed in the future. It’s a great introduction to the city of Munich and all that it offers its visitors and residents alike. The tour ends back in central Munich.

Bavarian Beer and Food Evening (3.5 Hours):
After spending approximately three hours enjoying some free time in the city, return to the main station for a 3.5-hour Bavarian beer and food tour. Get the inside scoop on Munich’s beer culture and its breweries from the guide, then travel by public transportation to the Beer and Oktoberfest Museum (Bier- Und Oktoberfestmuseum), a self-proclaimed monument to living beer culture and more. Check out the exhibits that highlight the role of Bavarian beer in the country’s history and sample some of Munich’s finest brews.

Then visit one of Munich’s beer gardens for another drink and a sampling of local snacks before ending the tour at Munich’s famous watering hole, Hofbräuhaus — a festive 3-floor beer hall dating back to the 16th century.

We don't usually book tours but thought this one sounded like a good combination for a day. It was a great day! I was worried about cycling around in traffic but the biking tour was great. Great tour guide - we learned a lot. The Bavarian Beer and Food evening was a lot of fun also. Our guide again was awesome, learned so much about the history of beer and the different Brew Houses. All in all it was an excellent day - it was our first full day in Munich and time well spent. Would recommend this tour!

Christian was our guide for our bike tour and was excellent, lots of recommendations for us to spend our few days in the city, and such an awesome way to see Munich.
We had the loveable Roland for our food and beer tour that evening, he was full of knowledge and we loved how he explained things.

We really enjoyed this! We were a little concerned that this almost all day tour was going to take up a lot of the day, but we had a blast. Marc took us around in the morning on the bikes and gave us a great overview of Munich and the sites. The only disappointment was we didn't get to have a beer at the Chinese Tower like the voucher stated.

Then we had a nice break to have lunch and clean up before the beer tour in the evening. Dani did a great job taking us around and giving us the history of beer in Munich. We got a taste a few of the different local brewers and got a decent meal of meats, sausages and cheese. In the end, it was plenty to eat and to drink.

I had Mark for my bike tour and Keith for the beer tour in the evening and both of them were a blast to tour around with! I can't express how much fun I had in these tours. I met some great people, saw some amazing sights and drank some fabulous beer! Both of the guides for informative, knowledgeable and encouraged questions and interaction. Definitely do these tours if you're in Munich!

Had an amazing time with nic on the bike tour and Roland on the bear tour. Considering the cold weather, the tour had to be amazing in the morning to make it worth while. Nic brought his a-game and did a phenomenal job taking us through konigsplatz, odeonplatz and Ludwig-maximillian university.

Roland started off our evening with a bottle of hacker-pschorr and the night continued getting better from there.

Excellent Tour.
The bike part was very informative on the history of this wonderful city. My wife hasn't biked in several years but she had no problem keeping up.
The Beer tour was Awesome, Keith our guide knew more about beer than anyone that I have ever met. He was also very funny. This was one of the best tours that we have ever been on. Highly recommend.

Doing two tours in one day was hard but well worth the money! You have a few hours in between to rest. I would suggest taking it the first day in Munich as it helps you see where else in the city you would like to spend time.
