Wonderful tour, even on a cold rainy day. Our guide, Alex was knowledgeable and lots of fun to spend the day with. He was smart to have us start early and get to Neuschwanstein first, ahead of the crowds and while we were still fresh. We stopped for lunch across the border in Austria and bumped into his older brother, who is also a guide and they exchanged info on the next stops, as his brother’s tour was going in the opposite direction. All around a terrific day!

We thoroughly enjoyed every part of this tour. Alex was our guide and was incredible. His English was perfect, he was extremely knowledgeable, and he was able to help us maximize the day. The castle tour itself was shorter than I realized, but all the other components of the day made it an incredible and unique experience. Driving through the Alps was so beautiful, and we were happy to have Alex leading the way. I would 100% recommend the experience.

Excellent tour!! This trip was made even more memorable with our tour guide Mike. I have taken many tours and seen many guides - sometimes getting irritated when asked many questions but not Mike. He made us visit a maximum number of places during this trip within the available time - I'm 100% no other guide would have done like Mike. Overall a great tour and great people managing it. I would highly recommend this to everyone visiting Munich.

A Tour with Some Great Attractions and Beautiful Scenery

The tour was great! We saw adorable towns and the palace and castle were just beautiful! Our guide Martin was fantastic!! He suggested an alpine roller coaster which was one of the high points of the tour. Unfortunately, clouds covered the castle when we got there, but he tried his best to make it the most positive experience possible and his upbeat attitude really helped. He also gave us a lot of interesting information and was just a pleasure to be with.

Highlight of our time in Munich was our private tour to Neuschwanstein Castle. Our tour guide Mike was absolutely fabulous and had so much knowledge of the Castle and surrounding area as we drove from Munich to the Castle. A really fantastic day!

Take this tour for the fastest and most enjoyable 11 hours your trip. Mike’s tour was jam-packed and very enjoyable! Very knowledgeable and professional tour guide. His self-published magazine was very impressive, informative and comprehensive — not only of the activities for that day, but also full of many ideas for future trips and sights in the region. Saw and learned a lot in a day with our guide Alex - Ettal Abbey, Obergammau, rode the Alpine Sled, toured Linderhof Palace, lunch beside Lake Plansee in Austria and finished the day at Nueschwanstein Castle (no tour of either castle). A bit hectic but it did fit our pace however others might want a slower pace however you’ll see less. Alex will customize the tour for you to fit your pace and interests. Unfortunately the car broke down on the way home but the company provided a taxi to return to our hotel in central Munich.

Our guide was a big part of why this tour was soo great. Nicolas was the best. He was informative, interesting, funny and caring. Great tour guide. Its a long day and a long drive but well worth it. Our stop in Oberammergau was magical - the christmas shop is stunning and open all year round. The town of Oberammergau is just picturesque. The castle is just beautiful - it wasnt finished inside and the inside tour was overcrowded and not really worth it. But from the outside the castle is stunning - as is the area. We had lunch in Austria at Lake Plansee and this was wonderful. We really enjoyed the whole tour and thank Nicolas so much for being fantastic. Its a long day and you spend a lot of time with the guide so you need to get along. Highly recommend the tour and Nicolas.

Nicholas was a fantastic guide for our private tour to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Ettal, Oberammergau, the alpine coaster and Neuschwanstein Castle.
