Stephan was an excellent guide. He did a great job explaining the history leading up to Dachau and gave us a sense of why this time in history came to be. This tour is well worth the price considering we had the guide all to ourselves and could ask questions and interact. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide met us at our hotel and was very knowledgeable. We were there on a cloudy, drizzling day which enhanced the somber setting. We had 4 in our group and our guide was great at answering all of our questions. We really appreciated the individual attention.
Was exactly as it explained the tour. The guide I was very knowledgeable about Dachau and explained so much to us and gave us as much time as we wanted. I am glad that we did this tour. It was a very serious and emotional experience and I felt our guide did a great job!!!
Fantastic tour. Our guide was an expert on WWII History and details of what went on in and around Dachau. Very sobering experience, but well worth it
Our guide was excellent. He has a deep rich knowledge of modern Germany history. Softly spoken, gentle and full of warmth he instantly connected with us. This was a 10 out of 10 tour. We had our young boys with us who like us were riveted in our guides explanations and stories about the camp.
Everything about this was easy - booking on-line, collecting us from our hotel, the train journey, etc - just great! Our guide, Jason was very friendly and his knowledge and expertise on WW2 and Dachau was extensive. On what is a very dark period of history he managed to keep things light without minimising what had gone on and answered all our questions. We left feeling more informed about this period in history.
We had Sabri for our tour guide and we could NOT have asked for a better tour experience at Dachau. Besides the wealth of knowledge he had, it was well worth it to have him pick us up in our hotel so we didnt have to worry about transportation out there. The tour lasted from 11am-5pm.
Jason was excellent! His knowledge of Dachau opened up a new world to us as he brought the site to life, which was emotional. The history of this camp, the memorials that have been erected and the general feeling will never leave us. I highly recommend taking the private tour. Thanks!
Brendan was AMAZING!!! We got so lucky having him as our tour guide. He met us right outside our AIRBNB. He was right on time. We walked to the subway and then took the train to Dachau. He was incredibly knowledgeable and really painted a picture of the camp. His message resonated not only for my husband and I but our teenagers as well. He told us a story and it was captivating. Having a personal guide for this tour is 100 worth the money and if you are lucky enough to have Brendan you will have a day that you will never forget. Do this tour above all others!!!
Scott, our tour guide for Dachau, is extremely invested in the history of Dachau. His knowledge base greatly added to the experience. He kept it factual but the story emotional. Very powerful tour. One thing I would warn - you will not get to see everything in this amount of time. If you are a history buff, I would recommend going again by yourself. You won't get to read all of the signs. Scott really made up for this though, and involved us in the whole, true story.
Kai was our guide. What a knowledge, compassionate about history guide. We obtained so much more information that we would have had on our own. This was totally a must do tour.
The tour was very good and our guide Adam was the best. I highly recommend the private tour. He was so knowledgable, there wasn't any question he couldn't answer and we never felt rushed during the tour. It is a very emotional tour, but well worth the visit and we were glad we were able to go while in Germany.
Brilliant! No other word to describe this tour with Kai. He was enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and incredibly patient. Can't raise Kai highly enough!!!! Tour was moving, sensitively presented by Kai and very informative! Thank you Kai

Our guide knew everything there was to know about the third reich. He had the answer or at least a theory to every question, and he was very personable while still being professional. He personalized the tour to the specifications we needed and he was overall the best tour guide I've ever encountered. I recommend this tour to anyone and everyone who wants a thorough tour of Dachau concentration camp.
Excellent tour guide. Provided insightful, thoughtful information about Dachau, Germany from both an historical and current lens. On time and easy to communicate with prior to trip. Offered many tour options and answered numerous questions from the time we met to the time we parted.
An unforgettable trip thanks to our guide Marcin who with his extensive knowledge provided us with an Historically story of how extreme the conditions the prisoners experienced and its something we will never forget
Tour guide was excellent. Far exceeded my expectations, and I obtained the full experience of the terror and horror that went on. I had looked forward my whole life to being a witness as to what happened there and I did and one more thing off the bucket list to do!
Could not have been better I am very pleased and my wife a Jew was too!!!
The tour of Dachau was one of the highlights of our trip to Germany!
We booked this private tour of Dachau because we wanted to really understand the history of Dachau. There is a local tour company Viator contracted with for this tour. Adam, our tour guide picked us up at our hotel right on time. Adam escorted us to the trains to take us to Dachau. While enroute Adam told us history of the area we were traveling through. He was very knowledgeable and easy to listen to. He told us we would walk the same path that the prisoners arriving at the camp did.
Once at Dachau Adam guided us through each of the areas. He gave us an overview of what occurred in each area. He gave us plenty of time to look at photos and read the displays. He explained what was from the original camp and what was rebuilt for the memorial.
The 5 hour tour was over so quickly. We felt that the private tour gave us so much more insight and personal connection to the Memorial than going in a large group tour. Adam guided us back the main train station in Munich. He even helped us find a place for lunch before we parted ways. It was one of the most enjoyable tours we have ever taken
We debated on whether to do the small group or the private group tour, but we are definitely glad we decided on the private tour. Our guide, Scott, met us at our hotel, and took us to the train station. Scott was very knowledgeable and answered any question we had regarding Dachau. If you are debating between the private tour and a small or large group tour, definitely choose the private tour.
Best tour of the trip. Definitely recommend doing the private tour and our guide, Achim, is extremely knowledgeable and catered the tour based on getting to know us and what we wanted out of it.
