Picturesque Rothenburg is an absolute must! And since this easygoing tour gives you a lot of time there, you'll be able to stock up on decorations at its gorgeously festive year-round Christmas store.
Your first stop is Harburg, one of the oldest, largest and best preserved castles of Southern Germany. It was an important military stronghold during the 11th and 12th centuries. Through the Swabian crater landscape passing Dinkelsbuhl, you will arrive in Rothenburg, the most perfectly preserved medieval town in Europe. You will spend about 3 hours in Rothenburg, so there is plenty of time for sightseeing, lunch and shopping.
A popular attraction is the Kathe Wolhfahrt Christmas Store on Herrngasse, a large store open year round where you can purchase ornaments, nutcrackers, and other Christmas items. Many of the highlights in Rothenburg are centered around Marktplatz, such as the Town Hall with its Rothenburg History Museum, and St Jakob's Church, a Gothic building with soaring ceilings filled with light.
You will return to Munich via the Hallertau, the world's largest hop-growing area.
enjoyed our trip and our tour guide Nancy enlivened our trip with her knowledge and interest in this area. The coach bus was comfortable, driver excellent. Thank you and we would recommend to friends.
The tour guide was the best we have every had. She was knowledgeable and had a lot of interesting and sometimes funny stories. She gave good advice about places to shop and eat, and where to go for the best photo opportunities. She explained the trip plan well, and answered all our questions. She was very friendly. The bus air conditioning was a life saver.

Found Harburg Castle very interesting and great place for photos. LOVED Rothenburg. Strolled around the beautiful town, had delicious lunch, and did quite a bit of shopping. Long but very enjoyable day!
Perfect day. Visit to Harburg Castle was much better than I expected. There were no crowds and the time we spent there was just right. Rothenburg is too perfect for words. Again, the time we spent there was just right. It's quite a long journey but the coach was comfortable and drinks are available. Very much recommend this trip
The tour was very well organized. Every detail was perfect. Our guide was amazing. Knowledgeable, affable and patient. I would recommend this tour very highly

This tour was amazing!
The coach bus we took was great and comfortable. Our tour guide was absolutely WONDERFUL! She gave us so much information along the bus ride about surrounding areas and just so much extra information. Our first stop was an hour and a half in at Harburg, a medieval village, where we took a tour of the castle buildings which was so amazing. Hopped back on the bus and ventured another hour and a half to Rothenburg. We were given 2 and a half hours to explore the town of Rothenburg. I do not recommend eating lunch because it takes up too much time and there is so much to explore! Wonderful shops, local delicatessens you can quickly stop in and grab-and-go, churches, and the medieval wall to explore. Since it is a 3 hour bus ride, the time is limited in the town of Rothenburg.
That was a great tour. Saw some extremely beautiful places. Loved it a lot. Highly reccommended.
Beautiful cities, comfortable bus ride and great tour guide -Ana.
The Harburg castle tour was excellent, and Rothenburg was truly amazing. The trip was well organized and moved along quickly with no problems, but also with time to explore in Rothenburg.
