It was disappointing that there was at least 3 spots on the Romantic Road under construction so we did not get to see all of it. What we saw was beautiful and Rothenburg and Harburg were amazing.

We loved this tour! It is an all-day commitment, but that worked out well for us, because it got us out of Munich on a Sunday when so many things are closed. Harburg castle was the highlight of the day. It's so well preserved and has so much history behind it. We liked Rothenburg, too, but it is pretty crowded and more touristy. Our guide, Debbie, was awesome, and we enjoyed driving through the lovely Bavarian countryside while she told us so many interesting things about it. This was a day well spent, and we will always enjoy the lovely memories we made!

We enjoyed this tour and our guide sorry, can't remember her name- Greta? very much! She provided some tips about Munich and it's various breweries as we left the city, which was nice. We were traveling in a nice double-decker Merceds Benz bus with comfy seats and good views. They even had a few drinks for sale on the bus. The first stop at Harburg Castle was very enjoyable and worthwhile. It is a very well preserved and gorgeous 1,000 yr old castle with a great wall-walk and several displays of life back in the day. My son especially enjoyed looking through the arrow slits and the holes for pouring hot oil on your enemies! Ha! The young lady who gave us a tour in English was super sweet. Am told that to take a prearranged group tour here is the only way to be assured an English speaking guide Continuing on to Rothenburg via the countryside was so relaxing and enjoyable and Rothenburg is just as charming as advertised! Our guide even provided us each with an English city guide/map to help with our explorations and to assure that we could find our way back to the bus on time! We were able to get recommendations from her about where to eat and the top sites to see. We ate at an old public house, stopped at the oldest bakery for Snowballs, visited the Crime/Punishment Museum and the Christmas Museum/Shop. It was great, and we even picked up a Christmas Pyramid to have shipped home! We had a lovely afternoon and I would recommend this tour to friends and family!
