Went to this with my husband and 15 year old daughter. We didn't really know what to expect at the camp itself. It was very moving to see the history. The tour guide was very insightful. I would highly recommend. The company we used made the whole process of leaving Munich and getting to the site easy.
Franz was our tour guide and he was wonderful. He was highly knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions asked.
This tour was incredible. Our guide, Craig, was highly knowledgeable and really respected the solemn nature that was appropriate for the venue. He had information to share across the memorial site and was very open to questions from the group.
We did the Third Reich Walking Tour the day before and I believe that doing that first was a very good bit of pre-work before experiencing Dachau.
Excellent tour. Initial meeting location is tucked away in a back corner of the main train station. Highly suggest to reconnoiter the meeting location early if at all possible. Also, be prepared for a good deal of walking.
Nicola was an EXCELLENT tour guide for this tour. She has an extensive knowledge of history and her passion for this particular tour is exceptional. While this isn't a fun tour, it is definitely a must-do while in Germany. Everyone knows the horrors that happened at these places, and can read about it in any book...but being there is a different experience. The knowledge and history you learn on this tour is like no other. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend. Lots of walking, and you cannot eat on the grounds of the Memorial. So plan to eat before you go. It is a tight schedule with taking the train to the city, then the bus to the site, then the walking tour...then getting back The small group tour is the way to go. We had 15 people, and any more than that would have been too many.
Despite of pouring rain, our tour to Dachau Concentration camp with Nicola was outstanding. The experience is quite sobering. The guide was professional, knowledgeable and very attentive to our questions. Highly recommended
Wow. A very sobering experience. Our guide, Ian, made it even better. His knowledge and passion about the subject is exceptional. We'd been previously - without a guide - and definitely recommend having the guide to gain the full insight of the experience.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided an in depth insight into the Dachau memorial. A very valuable experience! Highly recommended.

This was a very moving experience, very well run, lots of information and well run from start to finish.
This tour was extremely interesting but very very confronting, we learnt so much and there was so much more to take in just not enough time. However would highly recommend, just to see the size of the camp is mindblowing, and the number of people who were interned there is amazing not to mention just the type of things that did go on there, and it is an important history lesson to all to ensure this never happens again. Our tour guide was brilliant, she is German, and strongly believed that no one should forget history, whether it is good or bad, her name is, and I know I have the spelling incorrect, but, Anaooska, so full of knowledge and very helpfull
Excellent half-day tour. Our guide, Nicole, was on time and made sure that no one in the group got lost at any of the transportation points. She answered all questions posed to her in a respectful manner and demonstrated her deep understanding of the historical context within which the Dachau Concentration Camp was created. She honestly answered the questions posed by Americans. We will invite our family members to take this tour with us when they come to visit later this year, and we look forward to taking more tours with Viator.
My wife and I had a great time on this tour with our guide Steven. He was very knowledgable about Dachau and the historical events of the time that contributed to the overall experience. Highly recommend this trip for anyone.
I'm really glad I took this tour. I knew it wasn't going to be a fun trip like going to visit a castle or Salzburg, but it was very much worthwhile. I was deeply touched by the experience and it inspired to make an intentional effort at loving others and not letting hate get even a slight foothold. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable.
Wonderful tour. Very organized and informative. Nicola was awesome! We also did the castle tour with same company and Nic was awesome too! If we had more time we would have done another tour with them! Definitely recommend!
Everyone should tour Dachau or another concentration camp. Our guide, Steve, was an extremely knowledgeable history buff and a terrific presenter. I learned a lot more from him than I did in class. I wish I could rate this more than 5 stars.
This tour was excellent and the guide provided so much information. There was not much time to walk around to see the additional exhibits, but still very much worth seeing.
Our guide Nicola was wonderful. We heard in-depth history that transported us back in time from the start of the Third Reich to the liberation of the camp. Wish we had more time there, but it is about 45 minutes each way.
