Greece Tours & Travel

Starting the City-and Island tour by walking the small and narrow streets, having many possibilities to take nice photographs in the early morning, quiet city. We get orientation and information in the labyrinth of the old town as well as impressions of the small port and the churches in town. Of course we will see the famous wind- mills and find Petros the Pelican, the mascot of Mykonos. After this we are exploring the island, visiting some of the most famous beaches and the inner landscape. We see fishermen and kaikis, small private chapels and houses built in typical Cycladic style. In the second main village of Mykonos, Ano Mera, an idyllic place 6km from town, where the guests have enough free time for a stroll around the traditional square and they can visit the monk monastery of Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century. Next stop is Kalafatis beach were there is time to relax for a while and have a coffee or a refreshment (not included in the price). Before going back to town we visit the beaches of Ornos and Agios Giannis. At the end we reach a place with a fantastic view all over the town and the neighboring islands. A Half-Day-Tour with a lot of impressions and useful information!

Excellent experience. Both tour guide and driver were prompt and professional and gave me plenty of time for pictures and video and asked what sites I wanted to see. Highly recommend this experience

Great tour with Claudio, after an unpleasant transfer
Angela_J, Aug 2021
Our guide, Claudio, was GREAT! If I was rating just on him, it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, the transfer did not occur as planned, even though I checked and double checked. The driver did not want to drive up the hill to get us so we had to walk down. It was very frustrating. After we arrived, however, the tour was super fun. We had already walked around Little Venice so we spent most of the time driving around the rest of the island. We ended with Claudio showing us a few sites near the port. We have spent the past 2+ weeks traveling around Greece and Mykonos has been the most challenging. It's incredibly more expensive than any of the other islands. I felt like this tour was overpriced, comparatively speaking.

Great end to end tour of the town and Island
Robert_S, Nov 2019
Our guide, Achim, met us off the tender and first walked us through the narrow passageways of the town explaining why and how the town grew up. He is German but spends the majority of his time there. This would be his last tour of the season. We visited the famous windmills on the edge of town the after about an hour took us to a wood fired bakery that is several hundred years old and still in operation for some fresh baked goods and refreshments. Then is was time for the island tour which took us on roads and to parts of the island that no bus tour could possibly take us. All in all it was a full 4-5 hours of seeing on of the very interesting islands in Greece.

Definetly the Best of Mykonos!
Kelly_C, Nov 2019
Great tour and use of our limited time in Mykonos. Achem met us at the port and transported us in a comfortable van to see many sites in Mykonos. We had a couple not join us in the beginning of the tour, but Achem was very accommodating in meeting up with them a little later. We finished up touring Little Venice and the wind mills. Enjoyed an authentic meal, before having to return to the ship. Achem's insight to Mykonos gave us much more knowledge of the island than we would have had on our own. Achem is also a photographer, so as an added bonus, he took some great photos!

What a beautiful place!
Anna_G, Oct 2019
Our driver, Achim Eckhardt, was amazing! We got to see a lot of Mykonos in a short time. The service was wonderful, there are 2 of us with mobility issues and he made sure we could do all of the sight seeing and stopped to allow my husband to take pictures along the way. We ate lunch at a beautiful, little authentic Greek restaurant, the food was delicious! This is the way to see Mykonos! Thanks Achim for a wonderful afternoon.
Just OK! Nothing special.
Kimberly_G, Oct 2019
While on a Celebrity cruise of the Greek Isles and Italy, our group of 4 adults took many private excursions, and unfortunately this was our least favorite tour out of the 8 tours we took. Our tour guide was Sabine, and she was very sweet and knowledgeable of the area, however the first part of our tour (about 2 hours), was just a walk around the main town of Mykonos and it's many cafes and shops along the coast. This was something we certainly could have done on our own time, and which we did again after our tour was done for some shopping. The second half of the tour was a drive out to the country side for a brief overview of Mykonos. Made a short stop in a town where we visited a Basilica, then turned around and headed back to our starting point. We probably would have enjoyed this portion of our tour more if we had been in a larger vehicle. Our tour was given in an Audi 5 sedan, so three of us had to squeeze into the back seat, with one of us straddling the middle hump which was very uncomfortable. The tour guide mentioned she was taking a larger group on a tour the next day and using a van for transportation. We certainly would have enjoyed the van had we been giving the choice! (all of our other private tours of Greece were given in Mercedes vans and they were so comfortable)! I highly recommend you inquire about what vehicle will be used for the tour! Overall this tour ranked as our least favorite by all four of us. It was OK - just nothing really special, and expensive for what you get. (one of our most expensive per person cost tour).

Private tour of Mykonos
Pearl_a, Oct 2019
We had a fabulous driver taking us all through the town, stopping and telling us things that were important he was very accommodating by dropping us off as close to the town so we didn't have to walk much extremely considerate and respectful, certainly would recommend this trip
Best time!
