Start your half-day tour with hotel or airport pickup in Nadi and travel a scenic route into the heartland of the Sabeto Valley to your first stop: the Garden of the Sleeping Giant.
Here, more than 2,000 varieties of Asian orchids are on display — considered the largest and most varied orchid collection in Fiji. Follow your guide along a canopy-covered boardwalk past manicured lawns and lily ponds, or explore the tropical rainforest path at the base of the Sleeping Giant Mountain as you marvel at the stunning blooms.
Back in your vehicle, continue on to Viseisei, which local legend considers the original landing site of the first Fijians. Wander the village with your guide and browse displays of local handicrafts.
Your next stop is Vuda Lookout, which boasts 360-degree views of western mountain ranges, Nadi Bay and the Yasawa Islands. Settle inside a Fijian bure (wood-and-straw hut) to enjoy a tropical fruit juice and seasonal fruits from the orchard before returning to your hotel.
If you selected a morning tour, you’ll also visit Namaka Market — a produce market teeming with coconuts, pineapples and kava root— and stop at the Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami temple, a Hindu temple in Nadi with impressive wooden carvings.
Note: Please dress modestly and remove your shoes at the temple entrance; photos are not permitted inside the temple.
The tour was amazing and not long enough, the tour guide from Rosie's was amazing and worth every cent.
The garden was amazing and beautiful as was the Vuda look out. Bring small cash for market and village shopping.
Our driver was very informative and happily answered our questions. The view from the lookout is spectacular. Our guide at the village was very knowledgeable on the history of the village, and we finished our tour with a peaceful walk in the garden.
Fantastic tour, flowers beautiful, village tour was interesting and lookout had great views
Great tour guide and Toyota Prado was pretty comfortable.
We had a great time at this tour. Our tour guide was really nice and told us lots of interesting facts about Fiji. He also bought some treats for us at a local market.
Our guide was fantastic! He got us to where he promised, let us look around and was there when we where ready to go. The garden is beautiful, the Hindu temple fascinating and colorful. The look out gives you some direction of the country, while the market was something to experience. Well worth the price and time
If you only have a half of a day in Fiji, this is the tour to take. It is owned by Rosie and she graciously has guests to her house to enjoy spectacular views of the main island. The staff is loyal and very knowledgable and very well treated/respected by the owners. We saw amazing things and would recommend this to anyone in Nadi for a day:
