Alex picked me up on time from the apartment in Nairobi and we arrived at the Giraffe centre about 10 minutes before opening time. He was courteous, helpful and very willing to answer all my questions. He made it clear that, with the exception of the Elephant Orphanage which is only open from 11 - 12 am daily, I could take as long as I wished at each venue - he was my driver for the day and his aim was for me to enjoy the day to the full! Besides being up close with the giraffes and elephants, I also visited the Karen Blixem Museum and Kazuri Beads arriving back at the apartment around 16.30 hrs. A lovely, well organised trip!

I had a great half-day tour with Anthony. Feeding the giraffes and seeing the baby elephants was a lot of fun. Anthony was very nice and knowledgable.

Nice way to spend most of a day if you're in Nairobi waiting for a safari departure! Picked up by George at my hotel, there were 2 of us in the van. George was charming and helpful, took us to the Giraffe Center first, had the opportunity to hand feed the giraffes. Then on to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage which was amazing - saw about 20 baby elephants with their keepers and heard their sad stories, many the orphans of ivory poaching - some had fallen down wells and got stuck, their mothers unable to get them out. You get close enough to pat the elephants - then can buy elephant souvenirs. I dropped my iPhone there and someone kindly handed it in! After that George gave me the chance to go to the Karen Blixen museum which was well worth it especially if you just re-watched Out of Africa before your trip. Such an interesting person - you get to see where her coffee farm was - now in a district of Nairobi called Karen! A very good first day in a city that can be a little intimidating - and George will take good care of you. Well worth it! Thank you George!

We had a wonderful day. Feeding the giraffes was a memorable experience and the elephant orphanage was fantastic. We were able to add on a trip to the Nairobi National Park, which was fantastic. We saw lots of animals. Our guide, George, was friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the day with.

The best way to see the animals while staying in the urban area. Our guide was the best! In addition to getting us to the locations he spent time answering our questions about life in Nairobi. If you only have one day in town this is how to spend it!

Got to the giraffe centre early so less people there. Elephant orphanage was great and bead factory interesting. George was v knowledgable on the area and giraffes! Took lots of photos for me which was helpful as was on my own. Great value day out and stopped for lunch. I booked George for a custom made city tour on my last day through Wilderness Safaris-please see review. He helped me decide on the best things to visit. V quick at replying to emails. Would book again and perhaps for longer safari as reliable, kind and knowledgable.

Our trip to the Giraffe Center and Elephant orphanage was one to remember, thanks in large part to our driver and guide, George. From the moment we confirmed our pick-up location until the moment we left Nairobi proper George was there, providing great insights, information and education about the area. He's very patient, knowledgable and has an awesome sense of humor. There's no way we could have had as a great a time as we did had it not been for George. I'd highly recommend this tour - especially with him as a guide because he's excellent at following up, guiding you every step of the way so there are no surprises and highly invested in your satisfaction. We can't thank him enough for making our time in Nairobi such an enriching one!

Had a fabulous day went to the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center both were amazing, our Tour Guide George was great, he was very informative and made the day really special, nothing was too much trouble for him and I would definitely recommend his Company.

I would definitely recommend going to these places with a guide and not on your own. We have adopted a baby elephant as teh work they do at the center is amazing.

Good tour of giraffe centre and elephant orphanage - both really informative and interesting. Driver Antony great, especially after I left my wallet in his car.
