Tour was enjoyable, but not for those who do not enjoy large crowds of people.
Well, I can't talk enough about tour. It was very well arranged. The tour guide for Pompeii could have been better with language English
A great trip taking in both Pompeii and Vesuvius in one day. The pick up arrangements were very well organised with good communications from the outset.
Our guide for Pompeii was friendly and informative showing us the highlights of this huge site in the two hours that we had there. A really good lunch was included at a restaurant near to Pompeii from where we were driven by coach to Vesuvius. We were dropped at the parking area about a mile from the crater and from there we continued on foot. Some of our group waited at the cafe as the climb is rather steep. We were very lucky to have clear skies and fantastic views across the Bay of Naples.... well worth the effort.
I would highly recommend this tour.
The trip to Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius was amazing. Very interesting. Would have liked more time to walk up Mt Vesuvius - it was a bit of a rush. However, it was the highlight of our trip to Rome/Naples.
Great way to see both spots in one day. The guide for Pompei was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. Mt. Vesuvius is a steep hike up, but well worth it. The weather at the top can be very different from the base, so be prepared with layers. Lunch was good and not at all rushed.

Great tour. Well organised, and our tour guides were great! The walk up Vesuvius isn't that bad or difficult. But can be a little tiring if the weather is hot! Good shoes are a must!
Our tour was done in reverse, Vesuvius then Pompeii. Even if you're out of shape, you can walk to the rim of the volcano. The drive up was long along narrow streets in a bus. The walk to the top, and all the way to the far end of the rim, was simple and pleasant. There is even a place to grab some water or wine I opted for the wine, hey, it's vacation. On the way up the mountain the tour guide will tell you history of Mt Vesuvius. Before the tour started in Pompeii they fed us lunch, pizza and a drink. This was actually the best pizza we had in Italy. You can do Pompeii on your own, but a tour guide REALLY makes the trip more enjoyable unless you are a history buff and wish to discover things on your own. We were picked up and dropped off near our hotel in Naples so that made it a real convenience. Definitely worth the money and time.
Very much enjoyed the tour of Pompeii! The guide was quite informative, and made the ruins really come alive. Mount Vesuvius was a nice hike, but was shrouded in mist when we went. As a result, not much to see.
Very well organised, timely and efficient pick up and drop off great tour guides at each point of the tour highly informative tour guides - engaging and with humour excellent adjustments for the diversity of languages within the group. Thank you!!
It was a pleasure to be there. All people were very kind and helpfull. The driver was waiting for me in front of the hotel at the right time - well organized
Such a good day and good value for money. I had so much fun on this tour my sister and cousin are booking it for a couple of weeks time. A MUST!
What an amazing day!! Not only was the weather perfect, 75 degrees, sunny and with low humidity, but the entire day was filled with newly gained knowledge, meeting follow Americans, and a ton of fun. The day started with hotel pickup, where we meet our guide, Elyssa. After gathering up a few other couples, off to Pompeii we went. Once there, Elyssa toured us through Pompeii for 2 hours. Her knowledge, command of English, and humor made the tour amazing. Not having much knowledge of ancient history, I learned a lot. I was really impressed how much the town of Pompeii actually resembles towns of today, even including a bakery and fast food restaurant!! Lunch was good pizza or pasta, but the couple we met during lunch made the experience even better. We had plenty of time to eat and relax before starting the drive to Mt. Vesuvius. If you don't like heights, take a nap because the roads are very narrow, with numerous switchbacks and buses to pass. Our bus driver was amazing and navigated the bus with expertise. After arriving, were given 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk to the top and come down. This wasn't enough time since 30 minutes of that was lost waiting in the pot-a-potty line and getting a walking stick. I felt very rushed getting to the top and back in time. The views all of the way up to the top, the crater, and the walk down were spectacular. While I was concerned about the potential physical challenge necessary to climb Mt. Vesuvius, it's not a big deal. The bigger deal was the rugged and graveled pathway causing slipping. Make sure you wear GOOD walking shoes!! The ride back to Naples was the perfect time to reflect on this wonderful day, and to take a nap!!
Super tour of both Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. The tour of Pompeii was comprehensive and the tour guide knew her information. I was pleased with the number of sites within Pompeii we were able to see/visit. The lunch was OK. The 2nd part of the tour to Mt. Vesuvius was breathtaking after you reached the top of the path to the volcano crater. The tough part was climbing the path to the top. My wife could not climb it and my heart was racing during the climb, but once I made it to the top, it was well worth it. Of course getting to the staging site for the climb was rather scary, as there were too many buses when we went and the buses trying to leave were often interfering with the buses going up. I would still recommend this particular tour. I checked off one of my bucket list wants on this one.
Extremely well informed guide Maria was attentive to us all and made sure we were all accounted for in the hoards of people at Pompeii and Vesuvius. The walking trip up the mountain was stressful for out of shapes but plenty of older, in shape folks were climbing. Suggest getting one or two walking sticks free with a tip at the end at the bottom to help with the loose footing.
Our Pompeii guide was very knowledgeable and thorough, and spoke excellent English. The trip up to the Mt. Vesuvius crater is a must-do if you're in the area. However, the lunch was very rushed and some people who received their lunch late wasn't able to finish.
Great tour, got too see alot of Pompeii, the tour went for over 2 hours and included a great sit down lunch. We then got to climb Mt Vesuvius which was a great experience, it was a cloudy and rainy day at the top of the Mt so we did not get to see much, however the experience was well worth it.
great trip. wish we had a little bit more time 30-45 min more at mt vesuvious so we could enjoy more. apart from that - highly recommended!
