What You Can Expect

Naples City Walking Tour

Wander through the Galleria Umberto I

Begin your morning or afternoon tour in Piazza Plebiscito, where you’ll join up with your expert guide. Head first to the Basilica of St Francesco di Paola and the Royal Palace of Naples, one of the four residences used by the Bourbon Kings.

Travel next to the Teatro di San Carlo, the oldest opera house in Europe. From there, cross the street to the Galleria Umberto I, an impressively-sized shopping gallery dating back to the 19th century.

Pass St James's Palace before heading to the Castel Nuovo, one of the city’s most significant landmarks in Piazza Municipio. Constructed in the 13th century, learn about the medieval castle's expansion from your guide as you admire the exterior.

Afterward, stroll past the cloisters, churches, monuments and palaces located in the historic center of Naples. Learn the stories behind each architectural gem, and then head to Piazza del Gesu to see the Church of Jesus and Monastery of St Chiara.

Journey along the main street of Spaccanapoli next, buzzing with activity. Cutting straight through the historic center, the colorful promenade is one of the three east-west streets of the original Greco-Roman city of Neapolis.

After a few hours of history, culture and sightseeing, rest your legs at a local café in Piazza San Gaetano. Enjoy a piece of Italian cake before your tour concludes.

This was a great tour!! We were not the biggest fans of Napoli, but Anna was so much fun, and loved her city so much, she really brought it to life for us! We were only in the city for the afternoon, but Anna helped us to know where to go and what to do the next time we are in Napoli!

Without this tour, we would never have experienced the sights, learnt the history, and seen the wonderful architecture Naples has to offer. Our guide, Anna, was charming, knowledgeable and full of stories, making our tour interesting and enthralling. I would encourage visitors to Naples to embark on this tour at the beginning of their trip, to enable you to appreciate the buildings and history, and to navigate yourselves around the city. We would have missed out on so much, had we not met Anna.
