Wow! What a great day! This is so worth it. We splurged on high speed rail tickets from Rome so we could make the tour and return quickly. Our guide was amazing and we walked all over the ruins as she kept us throughly engaged in everything around us. You will walk through the ruins of a home and see beautiful and sometimes weird paintings on the walls of the dining room and office and see the open garden in the center of the structure. The baths are facinating! This is a fairly long and involved tour that keeps your feet and imagination moving the entire time. The train, high speed or not, is a really nice way to relax and make time toward this destination. We were able to time it perfectly taking the train from Rome and meeting our group right there at the station in front of a hotel. The trip to and fro by van was really short, about 25 minutes and it was very comfortable. We had a blast spending about 2 1/2 hours walking through the site with our fun, funny and energetic guide. We could have enjoyed a bit more but it really was enough time. Some people might want to spend the night along the coast which they say is beautiful but with 5 days on the ground in Rome and Florence this was the perfect way to see everything we wanted to.
The Pompeii tour from Naples, IT is one of the best tours I have ever had. Our tour guide forgot her name was born and raised in Naples, IT. She is very knowledgeable, explained all details. Our tour driver, Paulo, was nice and kind too. I learned a lot about 2,700 years old city. Absolutely recommend it. Loved it, loved it.
Very nice tour. Entertaining and Knowledgeable guide Elisa.. We had fun...
I was sick so my wife took the tour alone. She stated it was very informative, with insights into what it must have been of the residents of Pompeii to have perished that way. Also, she was informed about the cultural time before the event. So far Viator has delivered on our trip to Europe.
Sabina was the actual tour guide and she was amazing. Wealth of knowledge about the ruins and several fun facts. Highly recommended her as the tour guide around Pompeii.
NIce day out with the crowd, the guide was animated and knowledegable : great memories
Our tour guide, Elisa, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to as well. There were a few issue when we got to the site due to security for someone visiting that day, but she was great under pressure and helped us extend the tour so we didn and #39;t miss anything. Worth every penny!
I'm so grateful we made the time for this trip. The tour company was super accommodating. We had to leave the group after the tour and they actually put us on a bus heading to our next destination. They were so gracious. The tour itself was incredible. It was my husband's favorite experience and the guide made sure we saw the most important sites. If you don't have a lot of time for Pompeii, this is the perfect way to see it. Well done.
100 in every way. Picked up at our hotel, entertained and educated by Gino and returned to out hotel within 5 minutes of the estimated time. The whole experience was first class.
Tour was great! Guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her job! Not a compliant but one small thing was some of the group went to an extended tour and some went back to Naples--- finding the right bus to go back and with which guide was a bit confusing but it all worked out! Don't miss it!
Great tour. This was the second time we booked this tour with out of town guests. Very informative and tour guides very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely book this tour again when we have guests. Pick up at train station very easy.
Fantastic tour and our guide was amazing. She knew everything about the area. This tour is so interesting and definitely worth doing. Xx
This was my favourite part of my visit to Italy! The Tour Guide Serena I think! was brilliant, she was fun and full of knowledge and made it all sound exciting that you could actaully imagine living there at those times. Crazy to think how advanced they were and such a shame all the knowledge was lost in Medieval times, but so well preserved. I totally recommend this trip - do it!
Elisa, our tour guide, was a wonderful storyteller. Her descriptions of daily life made it easy to imagine life in Pompeii prior to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. The tour, about two hours, included an amphitheater, spa, house, bakery, bordello, and the Forum. Elisa also described how basic services such as water and transportation were provided to the city. Logistics were very straightforward. I confirmed pickup time with the local agency via phone the night before the outing they contacted me by email after trip was booked with a local number. My driver was prompt in picking me up at my hotel in central Naples. After the tour, I was dropped back at the hotel.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and overall was a fun experience. Learned alot. I liked the fact hat it wasnt too long also
This was a wonderful tour! Very informational, learned a lot about the history of Pompeii. Tour guide was entertaining and informative. And they picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel which was on the outskirts of Naples. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling in the Naples area, visiting Pompeii is a must and doing a tour through Pompeii is the way to go!
A very well organised tour , thank you I would commend and recommend them. Mark UK
We were picked up on time at our hotel and greeted warmly by the guide, we then proceeded to pick up about 20 other people. The tour was great and the guide was fabulous giving us a great history of Pompeii. Highly recommend this company!
Brilliant trip. We were picked up from our hotel on time and travelled to Pompeii. Once there our tour guide Maria was brilliant at recreating stories and bringing the place back to life. Would recommend this trip
Very interesting and informative tour! We were picked up promptly from our hotel in Naples and driven to Pompeii. Our tour guide was very informative and was able to answer all our questions about Pompeii.
Great guides, on time services, good description and knowledge. However there aren and #39;t much of the plastered figures left - they have been moved to the museums.
