This tour was the highlight of our 10 day cruise of the Mediterranean. Our driver, Gino, was wonderful, colourful and full of panache. He loves kids and doted on my family. He picked us up on time from our boat had a sign with our name and drove us in a nice air conditioned Mercedes van. He played Italian versions of rat-pack music and often sang along. Gino took us to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius with a stop for lunch on the mountain. He bought presents for our kids while we were hiking the mountain and proudly talked about his own wonderful family. A warm and charming host. We selected the option of a private tour guide for the ancient sites. Please do the same. Our guide, Benedicto, was an archaeologist who actually works on the excavations at both sites. He was informative and engaging - so much so that our children ages 8 and 11 were transfixed for 4 hours talking about ancient Rome - excitedly asking questions about the sites and really enjoying the tour. We learned so much and were able to ask questions and really get into the depths of the sites and Roman history in general. I enjoyed these sites more than Rome. You get a real sense of the daily lives of Roman citizens and the surrounding countryside is a lovely backdrop. This private tour both drive and personal guide cost the same as our cruise line wanted for our family to take an impersonal group bus tour with 60 people. We are busy professionals with high expectations and Gino and Benedicto exceeded them.
Tony, the driver, was professional, informed and very helpful.

Antonio was a perfect host. His vehicle was new, clean and very comfortable. It was perfect for our group of four adults. His suggestions and recommendations to the tour itinerary proved to be a perfect opportunity to also experience Napoli. Our month-long Greece and Italy trip included such a brief stay in Napoli, we lacked the knowledge to really understand and enjoy the city - until our journey with Antonio. He went out of his way, extra effort and time, to show us the many sites of Napoli and to provide us a new understanding of this beautiful city. We sincerely appreciate the added attention Antonio provided. After our journey with Antoinio, my wife fell and broke her arm. Antonio was a call away to help with translation and arranged after-hour transportation to our next destination. Antonio, you are the best!
When we booked this tour as well as a private tour of Pompeii, Positano and Sorrento we could hardly imagine what was in store for us. Why? Because we had the gift of our tour guide Antonino Ercolano of Into the Blue to guide us. What began as a very standard tour ended up as a personal escapade through Naples and its surrounding areas. For 2 days we saw, ate and experienced one of the beautiful cities in the world that everyone told us not to go to! Crazy! Do yourself a favor and beg Antonino to show you what he wants. You will be supremely rewarded. We cant wait to come back! We certainly got more than we paid for.
This was such a great experience for us. Luigi was very entertaining and attended to our needs diligently. I would highly recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
We were able to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mt Vesuvius and have lunch in a nice vineyard. It was a pleasant day avoiding all the stress of Naples driving.
The driver was kind and flexible to our needs.
We enjoyed this. The guide was knowledgeable.
The tour was excellent. Our driver Tony was prompt and courteous and took us to a great place for pizza in Napoli in between tours. At Herculaneum we met our wonderful guide, Lucia, who was equally professionals. Her knowledge of Herculaneum and Pompeii was impressive. All-in-all, a great day
I took my 2 adult daughters and my 12 year old granddaughter on this full day private tour out of Naples, March 28, 2016. The local provider was Adrive Intotheblue, a small company that definitely makes good on its promise to make your day unforgettable. Our driver Antonino, literally met us at the front entrance to our apartment - early - having parked a few blocks away. Throughout the day he was totally devoted to making our tour perfect, providing additional information verbally and with videos all along. He even took us to an ATM, and walked my daughter to and from the window to ensure her safety. Our private guide, Hilaria ?, was thoroughly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of both the Herculaneum and Pompeii, pointing out differences and similarities between the two sites. She provided guidance through any crowed areas, and made certain that we had the best views and the most privacy possible. Conversation with her was easy and all questions were completely explored. Though the trek up Vesuvius was foggy and a bit of a challenge for me, the experience was exhilarating. In the end, the clouds gave way to sunshine, and the views were outstanding. Thinking our day was over after more than 8 hours, we met Antonino at the parking area and settled in for the ride back to Naples. To our sheer joy, Antonino proceeded to tell us he couldn't let us leave Naples without a brief driving tour. Two plus hours later after seeing more sites than I can name, he treated us to espresso and cappuccino at a popular local vendor. Having been in group tours before, both small and larger, this private tour was a fantastic way to cover a lot of ground in one short day. The professionalism of both Antonino and Hilaria made us feel relaxed and thus able to absorb so much of what these sites have to offer. Bravo!
Our fantastic driver Tony, was waiting for us when we disembarked. On the ride to Herculaneum to meet our guide, Tony was very engaging and began to give us information about Naples. Most drivers I have experienced, just drive. Tony was a large part of our experience. We were scheduled to visit Vesuvius, but it was encompassed in the clouds. Tony suggested some alternatives, and as the possibility of the clouds dissipating were slim, we changed the itinerary.
We met our guide, Luisa at Herculaneum, and she helped us purchase tickets for entry to both Herculaneum and Pompeii, as well as the Archeology Museum, in Naples, instead of our trip to Vesuvius.
I had visited both Herculaneum and Pompeii in 1995. The Herculaneum visit was self-guided. Luisa's insights and updated information made the repeat visits very worthwhile. She truly knew and loved her subjects.
My only regret was not having time after the tour to explore both sites, but we were on a cruise and time was limited.
Luisa left after the tour of Pompeii, and Tony drove us to the Museum, which contained much of the original artifacts and art from both sites. This was a great alternative to cloudy Vesuvius.
Tony was waiting for us and insisted on giving us a brief tour of Naples. This was unexpected and maybe the highlight of our tour. One quick stop he made for us was particularly meaningful.
Both Tony and Luisa did a fantastic job and you would be fortunate to have them introduce you to Naples and the two ancient sites.
