What You Can Expect

Semi-Guided Capri Island Tour

Enjoy a stroll through Anacapri

After arriving in Capri, you’ll meet your guide at the port for this half-day tour, part of which involves independent exploration. Hop on the air-conditioned coach for the first part of your visit - a drive up to the town of Anacapri via the winding road that was featured in the film, Mamma Mia!

In Anacapri, walk with your guide to the beautiful Villa San Michele, built in the 20th century and featuring incomparable views and lovely gardens. The villa was built on the site of an ancient chapel, and from the gardens you can see Mt Vesuvius on the mainland. A visit inside the villa is possible at your own expense.

You’ll then have some free time to explore Capri on your own, with a multitude of options for spending your time and tips from your guide before you go. Enjoy lunch with a view, hire a boat for a visit inside the surreal Blue Grotto, ride the chairlift to the top of Mt Solaro, or buy a ticket on a boat trip around the island.

In the afternoon, meet up with your guide once again for the drive to Capri town and a walking tour, followed by an optional visit to the terraced Gardens of Augustus (own expense) that offer more expansive views of the island and the sea below.

At the end of your visit, you’ll get back on your coach for the drive back to the port where you began your tour.

Fabrizio Leva was a great tour guide! Loved Capri and highly recommend it as a must see when visiting Italy. Fabrizio also helped me out as I couldn't stay the whole tour since I had to catch a flight, he made it stress free for me, thank you Fabrizio!

There was a lot of confusion with this tour and where to meet exactly. Had a difficult time getting in touch with local supplier and receiving responses back. This tour did not provide much in the way of a tour. Only transportation to Ana Capri and Capri town, told when to meet back in each area...but no real tour. Guide spoke broken English...was difficult to understand. Did give us a ticket to get on Cable Car back to main part of time to catch our ferry back to Naples.

The island itself is a beautiful place however it rained when we were there so we didn't get the chance to go on the blue grotto, which you can only do at the end of the tour which we didn't have time to do as the boat back to naples was due. It is ok but we ended up paying an extra €80 to get there

The guide was good and had nice suggestions. We had to wait a long time to get a bus to Anacapri and to get back down.

1 star rating: I do not recommend this October 2014

This tour was a total let down, we wished we had not bothered. We were advised to meet at pier 0 at 10.30.We ensured we were there in plenty of time.We waited and waited but no sign of our guide. My husband decided to telephone but the number given would not connect. He then decided to try and find somebody whilst I waited at the instructed meeting point. He walked some distance away from the port. He noticed a group of tourists with a sticker on their clothes saying AL tours and asked their guide if he knew of anyone coming to meet us.He was from the same company as our tour and took us under his wings although I would add our names were not on his tour.By now it was nearly 11.00 am.We waited for a tour bus to take us up the winding road to Ana Capri, standing in the heat....waiting, waiting, waiting!
One hour later our guide was able to secure a bus to take us.On arrival at Ana Capri, because we were so behind schedule, we had approximately 20 mins to explore the town before we were told again to meet at 12.00 for lunch. The group reformed at the arranged meeting point and my husband and myself were told to find somewhere else to eat and meet the group again in half an hour because his group had a prepaid lunch. Why didn't he say before??
With half an hour to find a suitable eating place and to get back to the meeting place was impossible so we just wandered around for 30 mins. Back on the bus...down to Capri town...same scenario off the bus...30 mins, meet again and back to the port! A total waste of money and day, which we were much looking forward to.I would say definitely DO NOT book this tour. We didn't get to see much Capri at all.In hindsight we would have been much better taking ourselves around the island.
