The Grand Ole Opry is a must see, the backstage tour was amazing, we had a great time. I was very disappointed however with the booking of this tour, I had booked this tour back in May, and it was for the Grand Ole Opry and the Gaylord Resort. My confirmation stated the Opry and Gaylord Resort, but when I went to print my vouchers, right before my trip, the vouchers omitted the Gaylord Resort and substituted Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. I was informed by our driver who was not at all pleasant that they had stopped the tour of the Gaylord Resort. I can appreciate the reasoning, but I think that I should have been informed of this change and given the opportunity to decide to cancel and opt only for the Opry Tour. We did decide to stay and walk over to the resort which is also a must see ourselves and not continue with the driver and go to the Wax Museum. As I have stated, the tour of the Opry was outstanding, but felt that once we were through with the tour, we were very much rushed to get to the wax museum, that we were not even interested in seeing nor intended on seeing. When we informed the driver that we did not wish to continue with him and would remain behind to see the Gaylord Resort as originally planned, and would get ourselves back to our Hotel, which was downtown, he took it personally and gave us some attitude. So, I would recommend the Opry Tour, and if you are interested in the Wax museum, then this tour would be perfect for you. If you are not interested in the Wax Museum, I would look for a tour of the Opry only, and stop in the Gaylord Resort on your own.

there were only 2 other couples on our transportation that had picked us up from the Union station hotel. Since we were on the first tour of the day, there were many dressing rooms open that weren't supposed to be available to view to the public. I straggled behind because the tour guide would always ask me to shut the door. that meant I was able to step into these dressing rooms. the second leg of the tour was Opryland. it was a beautiful place where we took a little raft ride around the river of many waters or something to that nature.
