We took an alternate route due to some closures on the normal route but I am glad we did. The scenery was gorgeous and it was a nice, gentle route. My only complaint is I wish the guides had shared more about Nashville/been more informative. If you just want to kayak around, this is great; if you are looking to learn about the area, maybe not.

Our guide left most of our group in the dust. One of our group members was really struggling and he did not make sure he was okay or even ask when we all finally arrived at the end. They then proceeded to ask us to help them carry kayaks up after. When we are on vacation I don't want to do someone else's job. We liked how relaxing it was but our guide did not care he seemed to be in a hurry.

Hi Casey, I am so sorry if we seemed rushed that day. All of the outfitters found out that morning we had to carry our equipment across two parking lots to load. (Our normal pick up location was fenced off for the fireworks set up). It is never our intention to leave anyone behind but sometimes groups will separate and we try to keep with as many people as we can. We only asked for help carrying equipment that weekend because of the fencing and parking issues. So again thank you for helping! Hopefully it was enjoyable for the float portion of the trip. I will message you right now to see if you are interested in a complimentary tour on another day that is less chaotic.

First time kayaking. Matthew was very sweet and easy to get along with. He joined us in our adventure and made the whole experience fun and easy. Took around 1 hr and 30 minutes to finish but a well worth experience. Makes you forget you're in the middle of a big city. 10/10 would recommend!

I bought tickets to go kayaking with my husband while visiting Nashville for our anniversary. Dan was really good coordinating with us arriving to kayak. However we are disappointed with our experience. There was no shuttling. Half of the trip we paddled against the current. Not suitable for a beginner! We were told before we took off that everyone needs to stay on the left hand side of the river. However, there was a couple that were on the right hand side that our “professional guide” was with almost the whole time. The couple that the guide was with were trying to race and the guide was the referee. Totally unhappy with spending my money with this company. We were supposed to kayak for 1.5 hours and were only out for 45 minutes. I feel that we should be compensated for this poor service.

It was more favorable to paddle downtown on the section of the river that is blocked from the headwinds. I apologize that may have not been communicated with you.
