Nick was amazing! The tour was amazing! I couldn't be happier that we signed up for this tour while in Nassau. We spent a good 6 days around town and did this tour early on in our trip. Nick set us up with a good feeling for the island, its people, history and of course the food! He was kind, funny and incredibly knowledgeable and everything he told us was either echoed by the rest of the locals we met, or had provided such a good base of knowledge that everything else we learned while visiting was made better, even the very hot Goat Pepper!
Great tour, great tour guide, great food, learned a lot on this tour.
My wife and I were in Nassau for a day, we came with a cruise. We wanted to see the island and try the local food so this tour was perfect for us.
Frankly I have a little concern that we will be still hungry by the end of the tour but we were really full in the end. We tried lots of stuff appetizers, soup, entree, chocolate, ice cream, rum cake... all in different spots around the island.
Our guide Lexi was nice, she was entertaining and also knowledgeable about the island.
My only negative feedback is Rum Tasting is missing in the tour, I think they should add it to their tour as well, or may be they can have a Rum Tasting tour only since the Caribbean Rum is very famous.
Oveall, we really enjoyed the tour and recommend it to everyone who will visit Nassau.
This tour was a lot of fun and we enjoyed the food very much. Lexi was very pleasant and informative about both the food and local culture and history. One of the best shore excursions we have ever done.
Lexi is an amazing tour guide. The tour was incredibly informative and the food delicious. Suggest going 45 minutes early and tour the pirates museum as well.
We enjoyed our tour very much! Nick was a great guide, very knowledgable and polite. He and the company went out of their way to accommodate our preferences and make sure we were happy. It was a great exposure to Bahamian food, culture and history!
As a traveler who adores having an opportunity to engage local culture, history, and food, I highly recommend this tour. This company is exceptionally professional, timely, friendly, knowledgeable, and informative.
Our tour guide was Sara, and although she has only lived in Nassau for 10 years, one would easily believe if not for her Italian accent that she had lived there her entire life, soaking in all of the rich cultural history. She was very prompt in beginning the tour right on time, and because the tours are limited to 12 people, everyone gets personal attention and all questions/conversations are welcomed. We walked quite a lot, which we really enjoyed, and had a wonderful mix of tasting full-sized authentic Bahamian dishes and drinks, along with interesting views and stories of historical sites and architecture.
I am unfortunately allergic to shellfish, but was just going to give my share of the conch fritters and conch bisque to my husband, but Sara called the restaurants and actually worked with them to provide an alternate for those two tastings lightly fried grouper strips at one place, and amazing fresh hummus and pita at another. I was so impressed, and thankful!
From the lovely and delicious appetizers and entrees, to the refreshing lime beverages and beer, to the gorgeous chocolates, and all of the beautiful architecture, it was truly a perfect afternoon.
The tour takes approximately 3 hours, and we were pleasantly full but not stuffed, had a whole new knowledge and appreciation for Nassau and its food and culture, and we have already recommended it to so many people - we will most likely take this same tour again when we visit in November!
Special kudos to the owner, Alanna, who went out of her way to make certain that we got on a tour at a time that worked with our cruise ship arrival/departure.
Alex was a knowledgeable guide with a wonderful sense of humor! The food was varied and pretty good.
I am going back in a few weeks and am considering taking the tour again!

I came across this tour on Viator when I was looking for a food tasting tour...it would be my first time in Nassau, and I was eager to experience a new culture through their food what better introduction is there? My family and I took the tour on 6/4/16, and Alex and Tavette were our guides. We had such a great time! Our trip spanned about 1.5 miles, and we sampled Bahamian cuisine even Bahamian/Greek fusion!, gourmet chocolates, gelato, and rum cake...just to name a few stops! I really liked our stop at Genuinely Bahamian, a small shop which offered spices, condiments, and teas. The heaviest sampling happens at the beginning of the tour and you eat a little less at subsequent stops, but don't worry...you will be glad to walk between stops to happily digest it all! Alex and Tavette were friendly, charming, and knowledgeable. My family and I enjoyed the experience immensely, and I highly recommend this tour.
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Murray. His knowledge of local history, plants and foods was amazing. The food was delicious. Wish our cruise ship had been in port longer so we could go back and visit the delightful places he showed us.
Very nice tour. You get to experience a bit of the food and culture of the Bahamas. Our guides were great.
I enjoyed this tour very much. The food was excellent and Murray was a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide. We learned a lot of history of Nassau and ate delicious selections of Bahamian food.
Murray was a great guide. He was fun and very knowledgeable. The food choices were very good and offered a wide variety. Thank you for a good time!
Our guide was awesome, we thought it would be a large group but it was only 4 people counting us. Highly recommend
It was indeed a great pleasure to join this tour. The wonderful guide Nick who is highly evaluated this/other site leads one of the kind event. All other participants were so friendly and was able to spend unforgettable time. The food, restaurants, venue, etc., everything is more then excellent. truly appreciate it.
Murray was fantastic and knowledge not only about the food being offered but also the history of the Bahamas. A great trip.
A note: you do need to be prepared to walk about a mile and a half up and down hills just for the tour. If you walk to/from the port to the meeting spot, add on an additional mile to your expected walk. The starting point is about a half mile walk from the cruise pier.
Best way to eat your way around Nassau while getting a history lesson. Our tour guide Alex was charming and very knowledgable and the other group members were enjoyable company for the afternoon. No worries about ending the tour hungry - even my husband was full.
Great trip. Our tour guide was knowledgable and fun. She was able to tell us the history of the island and also explain all the food we sampled during the tour. As it was lunch time we sampled a Bahamian meal at a local restaurant and had more than enough food for lunch. One of our best ever tours.
Awesome Tour!!!! Very informative and enjoyable, and easy walk. We have started taking Food Walking tours 3-6 a year where ever we travel, and this was one of the best! You will not be dissappointed!
Great guide. Very informative. The food and desert samples were excellent and gave us a glimpse of life in Nassau and The Bahamas.
