Arrange for a pick-up or make your way to the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal to catch your boat to Rose Island. Upon arrival at Rose Island, choose from an array of activities. Simply find a sunny or shady place on the pristine beach to relax and read a book or take a nap. Sidle up to the beach bar and indulge in a drink or 2 while listening to some island rhythms (own expense). Don snorkel gear and take to the sea to explore the underwater world bustling with living coral and schools of brilliantly colored tropical fish. Stroll down the island's winding paths and wade in the tidal pools. Your guide will organize group activities like beach volleyball and dizzy lizard, or you can rent a float or kayak. Sign up for a guided snorkeling tour or watch a fish-feeding show. All additional activities are at your own expense. Sit down for a buffet lunch on the pavilion overlooking the gorgeous harbor. See a sample buffet lunch menu in the Itinerary section. Savor the local flavors, accompanied by complimentary lemonade and a fully stocked cash bar. Then, stretch out in a hammock under a palm tree or lounge on the palm-shaded deck. At the end of your remote tropical island adventure, enjoy the cruise back to Nassau.
I'm really glad I made the choice of taking this excursion over all the others. The entire staff at Sandy Toes were professional, informative, and fun! I enjoyed the snorkeling, the beautiful beaches, and the food was also amazing. Great choice, overall Great experience!
This excursion was the best so far and I have been on many, including Exuma, in the Bahamas. The boat ride to the island was short and sweet--only about 30 minutes or so. Very affordable in comparison to other "pig" trips. The beach was beautiful. The pigs were cute. Snorkeling was good. The BBQ chicken on the buffet was delicious. My family really enjoyed ourselves.
This was such a fun excursion. Close to Nassau so no extended time on the boat getting there. The activities were super fun and the beaches were beautiful. It was our favorite part of our whole vacation.
Me, my wife, and 2 kids (10&12) loved Rose Island. The staff was AWESOME, the beach was AMAZING and the pigs were a lot of fun. The island is very private and very well kept. The snorkeling is pretty good also. We loved the entire experience.
Amazing staff and crew, easy check in and boat ride fun.
Greeted on dock by the pigs, well staffed on Rose island, pigs friendly and trained.
Beach amazing.... snorkeling ok.
Can snorkel right off beach.
My family enjoyed the day trip visit to Rose Island. We had perfect weather and snorkeling was calm and kids easily able to participate. The beach bar was very good and the lunch was very well done with beautiful views from the deck.
Despite rain and cooler temps, our trip to Sandy Toes was well worth it. We were still able to visit with the pigs, chicks & peacocks and snorkel. Lunch was delicious, although I’d suggest a snack stand of some sort. Being an animal lover and a bit skeptical about paying to see captive pigs, I was really happy to see how well cared for all of the animals were. It’s clear that this family-run business values all living things.
Well organized day trip. Friendly and knowledgeable crew. Exactly as advertised. Beach and food excellent. Please tip the crew, they do an amazing job and I saw a very few people show their appreciation.
