Upon arrival at Rose Island, choose from an array of activities. Simply find a sunny or shady place on the pristine beach to relax and read a book or take a nap. Sidle up to the beach bar and indulge in a drink or two while listening to some island rhythms (own expense). Don snorkel gear and take to the sea to explore the underwater world bustling with living coral and schools of brilliantly colored tropical fish. Stroll down the island's winding paths and wade in the tidal pools.

Your guide organizes group activities like beach volleyball and dizzy lizard, or you can rent a float or kayak. Sign up for a guided snorkeling tour or watch a fish-feeding show. All additional activities are at your own expense.

Sit down for a buffet lunch on the pavilion overlooking the gorgeous harbor. See a sample buffet lunch menu in the Itinerary section. Overall amazing
Joie_H, Aug 2022
The staff did a wonderful job in making everyone have a great experience. The pigs were friendly and clean (they were actually rescued and are taken care of on the island). The drinks were absolutely amazing and the food was as well. My boyfriend and I chose to go snorkeling and it was awesome. We even saw a sea turtle. The island was beautiful, I would recommend this to anyone looking to see pigs in Nassau.

Your own private island for the day
Raymond_D, Aug 2022
Awesome time hanging out on an island , the snorkeling is ok (your not going to get to see anything crazy , pretty basic . It’s mainly just being able to hang out on a private island , unlimited drinks and a good meal and some photos / feed the pigs but overall fun time
Piece of Paradise
Darya_G, Jul 2022
The charter boat from Nassau Paradise Island was smooth and nice scenery. When we go there, staff was informative and pleasant. The snorkeling was amazing and perfect time length. The beach had plenty of chairs and canoes and paddle boards. The food was ok but the bar made amazing drinks. This tour has everything for every age range and is great for families.
Memorable Bahamas Day trip
LISA_B, Mar 2022
We had a great day on Rose Island with the Sandy Toes crew and, of course, the pigs and other beautiful wildlife (peacocks, chickens, birds, etc). We saw lots of colorful fish snorkeling as well as 2 giant sea turtles. Our guide was knowledgeable and super friendly and made sure we got to see as much as possible - feeding the fish as we went and pointing out other creatures along the way. The bartenders were super friendly and they had a variety of drinks that were included in our package. The trainers brought a few of the pigs out to the beach every half hour or so. It was the highlight of the trip for our daughter. There were other games and things to explore on the island. Lunch was good - not a huge variety but tasted fresh and good quality. We would highly recommend. Only advise is don't forget to bring your own towels - there are none there.

Great Excursion!
Laurie_P, Feb 2022
Checkin was easy, left on time. Arriving at the island you snorkel first (it’s the only timed activity) don’t skip it. You see some cool fish, reefs and sea turtles. The guides on this tour are awesome!! You get to see the pigs while they are feeding to take pictures and then some will swim with you. The views are great, chairs on the beach, lockers available, showers and bathrooms. Worth the money - you won’t regret. They returned on time so if you are on a cruise, you will be back by 3:45. The lunch was also great! More than I expected.
Just Do It!
Reggi_W, Nov 2021
Big fun! A long line of (mostly American) tourists line up to checkin, sign a waiver, then line up again to board the boat. 30min cruise to the island where you have access to all amenities—if snorkeling then you must do this first or miss the opportunity. It was a quick there-and-back & the guides dove down to collect sea critters to show us and encourage us to hold (e.g. sea urchin, sea cucumber, conch in shell) and pointed out others underwater (e.g. stingrays and turtles). Return to the island to an open bar (bottom shelf included, premium at a cost) and relax on the beach/hammocks/chairs provided. Lunch is served at 1p, buffet style. Must wear a mask. The adult pigs (I believe two large and 3 micro) are available at 30min intervals to pet & photograph. Shout out to Captain Will, Snorkel Steven, and handsome Kode for making this beach day extra fun! We departed on time and returned a bit early at 3:40p. I chose this specifically based on cost and availability as other piggy adventures were pricey and farther away (departs & returns to/from Paradise Island, Nassau)—the pigs were adults and still just as cute but I imagine actual piglets are a vibe as well.
Excellent service
Fabricio_Y, Oct 2021
Wonderful experience a must do if you are staying in Nassau / Paradise island. Service is excellent a contrast with the poor service elsewhere around.
best part of our trip!
Abigail_S, Aug 2021
amazing day! the drinks and lunch were great, the staff was so friendly, the beach was beautiful, the pigs were so much fun and trained better than my own dogs. also loved that they had activities like cornhole and giant jenga! and the snorkeling was a good time but a little underwhelming. still couldn’t recommend more! such a great deal considering similar trips were twice as much

A fun day! But…
Abbey_B, Aug 2021
Overall, I really enjoyed this excursion. The fact that food and alcohol was included in the price is a major plus, especially considering how expensive Paradise Island is. The entire staff was so nice and welcoming! They wanted to make sure that you were having the best experience. On arrival, I was really concerned when I saw how many people were going on the excursion. However, once you get to the island, you couldn’t even tell that there were 88 people on this trip (yay!). The only downfall and reason for taking away a star, are the pigs- the main reason for the trip. There are only about 3-4 pigs that are corralled out every 30 minutes, and only to one specific spot on the island. This could just be me, but I was thinking that they were wild pigs that would just be swimming around the island (it’s not). As cute as they were, I will say that the interaction was a bit disappointing and not what I expected. Overall, I did very much enjoy my experience, though the pigs felt like more of an after thought than the main event.

Excellent trip
Jonathan_A, Aug 2021
I went on this trip on Friday afternoon with my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. I thought this sounded like a great opportunity to see more of the Bahamas and the swimming pigs look so cute. Rose Island is a short boat trip away from Bahamas and has a beautiful beach and a good bar. The pigs come out to swim every half hour or so. The SandyToes team were excellent.
not a private tour
renee_G, Jul 2021
we booked what we thought was a private boat for 7 turns out it was a cattle call to see the swimming pigs. (the website lead us to believe it was a private boat due to images on web site.)The real boat was not pictured site when we booked. Overall we felt very deceived
Awesome
Sean_K, May 2021

Best Day Trip Yet
Lauren_D, Apr 2021
Highly recommend Sandy Toes. The activities are great - especially the pig play time. And the staff is so well organized and friendly. The drinks are also well made and the lunch is more than satisfying. The Sandy Toes compound has everything one needs to have a good time and be comfortable (good restrooms, showers, lounge chairs). Lastly - the peacocks were a nice surprise.

A day in paradise with Sandy toes and half the clothes
Kareem_P, Apr 2021
Overall great day! Great atmosphere, location, guides and people! Great activities, nature oriented and of course, endless BOOZE! Only downside for me was the lack in variety of food, (no seafood) and the timing was short, felt more like a half day. Maybe if the departure was earlier in the morning AND later at the end of the day.

Wonderful Day Trip
Megan_H, Jun 2019
This was such a fun excursion. Close to Nassau so no extended time on the boat getting there. The activities were super fun and the beaches were beautiful. It was our favorite part of our whole vacation.
A day in paradise.
Ashlea_C, Mar 2019
Despite rain and cooler temps, our trip to Sandy Toes was well worth it. We were still able to visit with the pigs, chicks & peacocks and snorkel. Lunch was delicious, although I’d suggest a snack stand of some sort. Being an animal lover and a bit skeptical about paying to see captive pigs, I was really happy to see how well cared for all of the animals were. It’s clear that this family-run business values all living things.
The Final Adventure
Carlos_M, Aug 2018
After a week long trip in Nassau, we were looking for one last activity. We stumbled upon this excursion on this website and it blew our expectations out of the water. A beautiful island, remote and peaceful. Drinks, a delicious lunch and even snorkeling and swimming pigs! For a great price, we were able to have a beautiful and relaxing day in the sun. Employees were extremely nice, amenities were clean, and it was a wonderful escape. Highly recommend.
