What You Can Expect

Rose Island Day Trip by Boat from Nassau

Swim with the swimming pigs!

Make your way to the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal to catch your boat to Rose Island.

Climb aboard and enjoy a welcome cocktail while finding the perfect spot on board to watch the shoreline of Nassau recede as you sail away.

Upon arrival at Rose Island, choose from an array of activities. Simply find a sunny or shady place on the pristine beach to relax and read a book or take a nap. Sidle up to the beach bar and indulge in a drink or 2 while listening to some island rhythms (own expense). Don snorkel gear and take to the sea to explore the underwater world bustling with living coral and schools of brilliantly colored tropical fish. Stroll down the island's winding paths and wade in the tidal pools.

Your guide will organize group activities like beach volleyball and dizzy lizard, or you can rent a float or kayak. Sign up for a guided snorkeling tour or watch a fish-feeding show. All additional activities are at your own expense.

Sit down for a buffet lunch on the pavilion overlooking the gorgeous harbor. See a sample buffet lunch menu in the Itinerary section. Savor the local flavors, accompanied by complimentary lemonade and a fully stocked cash bar. Then, stretch out in a hammock under a palm tree or lounge on the palm-shaded deck.

At the end of your remote tropical island adventure, enjoy the cruise back to Nassau.

This tour is its money 100% worth!! You get to experience so many things in only one tour!! The staff was amazingly friendly and the island so beautiful! The snorkeling was perfect for a first snorkeling experience and we even saw a shark. They even have swimming pigs on this island now!!

This was the best shore excursion I have ever done on a Caribbean cruise! There was a small group of people about 10 of us that took a boat 20-25 mins onto a private island for an amazing day of relaxation or snorkeling if you want. The boat ride out to island was highlighted by all of the million dollar mansions on the shores of Paradise Island. Then arriving on Rose Island, you literally feel like you have an island retreat all to yourself, plus there's a great bar there. There was not a single person from a cruise there were 4 ships docked in Nassau that day on the trip, only was people staying in hotels on the island. Lunch was also sufficient. The island is beautiful! I really felt like I was truly getting away. I can't say enough good things about this day trip.

Absolute amazing trip! If possible, would give 6 stars! We did this tour the second time and it is still great. The island is not crowed with people, you have plenty space for swimming, snorkeling or chilling in the hammocks. The snorkel tour with the guide was great. Only additional costs are drinks and massage, you should definitely try this. The lunch is very good too.

Absolutely would recommend this day trip to get away from the crowds of Nassau. The staff were very friendly and the lunch provided was delicious. There is a bar if you want to purchase drinks and plenty of shade available. Not crowded as there are no other people on the island except for the group we came with. The beach was very nice and the swimming was great. The snorkeling was good. I would definitely do this day trip again.

Beautifully organized and lovely Lunch at the beach. This tour is worth the money. Snorkeling was disappointing but it had been a stormy week ... which is why we joined this tour. The extra 10 for hotel pickup is worth it unless you are staying on Paradise Island.

What a fantastic way to spend a day in the Bahamas! Beautiful island with great beaches. We booked as a separate tour from our cruise ship. It was easy to get from the cruise dock to the ferry dock via taxi. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the lunch was tasty. There aren't many other people on the island so it feels like a private island. Definitely recommend!
