It's been open 22 years and this was the first time I stopped. Over those years I made between 30 and 40 round trips, passing under it nearly 80 times without checking it out! Yes, going in and taking the self tour is WORTH IT!!

I tried 3 times to find the Archway - unsuccessfully!! I used the maps app on my iPhone! Then I gave up!!! I was very disappointed as I really wanted to see it! Maybe some other time 🤞🏻

It's a nice museum. Beautiful entry exhibit and we really loved the thunderstorm inside. Very informative but....a bit short for full museum price. All in all a nice quick stop in travel routine.

Museum is a bit cheeses but gave brief history of area. Amazing building. Wonderful spot to picnic lunch and walk along the river.
A “must do” to experience the history of the west enabled by the human spirit of exploration and hope.

It was a really cool experience. There’s even a sluice box at the end to use for treasure bags you purchase at the gift shop. My only negative is there is no bathroom on the upper floors so to use the restroom you have to travel through the museum.

Seeing what our ancestors had to go through was impressive. Glad I didn't have to endure that hard way of traveling. Big photos were very helpful to show the challenges of life in the 1800s and early 1900s.

Fun! Good for kids. We got there at 4:30 & didn’t realize it closed at 5:00pm. Plan for 45 min to not be rushed.
