After meeting your guide and comfortable tour vehicle at your hotel in Negril, climb aboard and set off. The 1.5-hour journey, which passes along the south coast into the parish of St Elizabeth, is beautiful and a great opportunity to see the sugar cane industry at work.
Arrive near the site of the falls and board a tractor-pulled jitney. Enjoy the ride through the tropical forest to the 120-foot (37-meter) waterfall, which can only be accessed via forest trails. Pop into the changing rooms to don your swimsuit, then approach the falls, an impressive site where the YS River cascades over 7 tiers of cliffs.
Climb the steps next to the falls to get great views without getting wet, or jump right in to one of the natural pools on each level of the falls. Have a go on the rope swing if you want to play Tarzan. The time spent here at the falls is yours to do whatever you wish; additional activities like river tubing and ziplines are available at your own expense. There is also a gift shop and restaurant onsite.
At the end of your free time exploring YS Falls, enjoy the drive back to Negril for drop-off at your hotel.
