Great tour - adapts to what you're interested in

This private day tour leaving from Delhi worked really well for me. Brijkishore collected me from my hotel in Gurugram, meeting Hyder Ali in Agra as my guide for the day. The tour was really personalised to what I showed an interest in, Hyder wasn't just leading me around while reading through a standard script. Hyder lives in Agra and is truly interested in showing its monuments to people, you can't ask for more than this. This tour allows you to skip the lines - they can be long as it's hot so this is very valuable. Lunch was an excellent buffet in a 5-star hotel providing a range of food types. If you're interested in marble inlay (carving and placement of flush, polished stones) Hyder will take you to see some in progress with lots of nice pieces if you'd like to take some home with you. I had a flight that evening so only had 11hrs available, Hyder and Brijkishore adapted the day to get me back in time. I was worried that this trip would be a formulaic tourist attraction, which without the right people or a guide at all I can totally see how it could be. Hyder made it come alive though, I'd strongly recommend him to my friends.

Excellent Taj Mahal One Day tour!

We had a great day tour with Pioneer Holidays, we were collected promptly from our hotel, the driver Ajay in a pristine, comfortable car. Ajay was and excellent driver, driving with care patience for both the journey to Agra and our return to Delhi. He even allowed us to connect to the cars stereo to play our own slection of music for the Journey. Once we arrived at Agra we where met and joined by Kashif Khan, our tour guide for the day. He was excellent for the whole tour. He requested we called him Khan. The Taj Mahal was extremely busy, but khan was able to get us through all of the queues with ease. Khan was extremely knowledgable throughout the tour, stopping frequently at various times of the tour to provide information. He was also open to taking our questions and having detailed conversations about the beautiful Taj Mahal Complex and its history. The same excellent service continued at the Agra Fort. This was also a stunning complex of buildings and structures, well worth the visit. Overall we had an excellent day, with an excellent driver and fully knowledgable tour guide. The only negative was the included Buffet lunch. This was at the Courtyard by Marriott. The whole lunch stop was a disapointment, the hotel itself was rundown, dirty and not up to the 5 star rating. I would definitey recommend Pioneer Holidays as well our driver Ajay and of course Khasif Khan our tour guide.
