Day 1: Delhi
Meet your driver at Delhi International Airport (baggage claim outside the arrivals terminal) or your Delhi hotel and transfer in private, air-conditioned comfort to your 5-star accommodations for check in and relaxation. Spend the day resting or exploring your own.

Day 2: Delhi—Agra (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before following your guide to Agra for a day of sightseeing. Relax in the privacy of your air-conditioned vehicle during the 4-hour drive as you prepare to see India’s most iconic building — the Taj Mahal.
Check into your hotel and find lunch (own expense) before making your way to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Taj Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, this striking homage to Shah Jahan’s third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, took some 20 years and 20,000 men to erect. White marble was gathered more than 200 miles away and carried by a fleet of 1,000 elephants to the construction site. Your guide will explain how Turkish, Islamic and Indian elements of architecture are blended together to create this monumental structure.
Once you’ve finished at the Taj Mahal, head to Agra Fort, which was built in the 16th-century by Emperor Akbar. The striking red sandstone structure was built along the Yamuna River and remains a prized example of Mughal architecture. Your guide will take you through the living quarters and mosque, as well as ramparts that were later added by Aurangzeb.

Day 3: Agra—Ranthambore (B, D)
Once you’ve finished breakfast in your hotel, head for Agra in the air-conditioned comfort of your private vehicle. Relax on the 6.5-hour drive (about 185 miles/300 km). Take in the incredible landscapes you pass along the way.
Once you arrive, transfer to your hotel where you’ll check in, enjoy dinner and spend the evening unwinding or exploring at your leisure.

Day 4: Ranthambore (B, L, D)
Rise with the sun and head into Ranthambore National Park with your guide for the first of two jungle safaris aboard a shared jeep. Spend 2 to 3 hours navigating the thrilling landscapes of this thick forest with your trained naturalist in pursuit of wild Bengal tigers.
This impressive preserve is a destination for photographers and nature lovers who find the stunning backdrop of this once private hunting grounds ideal for snapping photos or searching for indigenous wildlife. The jungle surrounds the 10th-century Ranthambore Fort. It was declared a Project Tiger reserve in 1973 and became a national park in 1980. Learn about its significant contribution to the country’s conservation efforts from your guide.
Your private vehicle will travel along routes ideal for spotting Bengal tigers and your professional naturalist will help you spot these giant cats in their natural habitat. Catch them relaxing in the sun, roaming across open spaces or playing with their young. The park is also home to a variety of species of birds and bears, plus sloths, wild boars and gazelles.

Rise and shine with breakfast at your hotel before heading off to Jaipur in your air-conditioned vehicle. Your scenic 3-hour drive will deliver you to the bustling metropolis that dates back to the 18th century, when it was under the control of Jai Singh.
Pay a visit to the famed City Palace where your guide will point out the ornately carved doorways and artwork of this exquisite palace. Wander the courtyards, gardens and museum, where you’ll find collections of armor, costumes, manuscripts and small paintings.

Start your sixth day of this Golden Triangle Tour with a guided look at the Amber Fort. Once you’ve finished breakfast, head to the outskirts of Jaipur where you’ll find this impressive fortress built by Maharaja Mansingh — Mughal Emperor Akbar’s best general. This hilltop wonder overlooks Maota Lake and was once the seat of power before Jaipur’s City Palace was built.
Head to the top of the towering hill by Jeep. Then stroll through the complex with your guide, who will explain the significance of this historic site. Take in the beautiful details of the interior where precious stones, tiny mirrors and colorful paintings add a touch of Indian glamour to the place. Your guide will take you into Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) where the reflection of a single lamp lights up the entire space.
