5 star rating: Highly Recommended February 2017

I love the colorful city Jaipur and the things it had to see, the amber fort is the biggest fort I came across in Asia and the city palace is full of the past giving you the glimpse of the royal living there, but the one thing that made my day was the amazing city market which was full of things to see. Jaipur has won my heart and the next time I would be there again. Thanks our driver cum guide Mr. Rajpal for making a memorable experience for us.

1 star rating: I do not recommend this January 2017

We absolutely did not get the service we paid for! After the pickup at our hotel, we drove to the Amber fort. There was no guide available the driver told us that there was a shortage of guides this time of the year. Because we were not happy with the situation, the taxi driver suggested to get back in the car and he drove us to the monkey castle which we visited without a guide. Afterwards the taxi driver told us his friend wold guide us!? We drove to a meeting point where 'the guide' was picked up. When he noticed that we didn't like how our day was progressing, 'the guide' made it clear that he only came to help his friend the taxi driver... at that time it was 12.30h.
We did a drive by of the water castle and the palace of the winds and then we were taken to Jantar Mantar, which we actually did visit. Then 'the guide' said we could visit the City palace, which would cost us an extra 50 US dollar per person. A proposition which we refused.
Afterwards we drove back to the Amber fort which we visited with our stand in guide. After that visit, 'the guide' left us. The taxi driver, who really was a friendly man that was also annoyed with the situation, took us to an elephant farm, where we were offered a 15 minute ride before he drove us back to New Delhi..
We want to warn other people to avoid this trip.
