The driver picked us up at the hotel at 5 am on the dot. We were in an air conditioned car fully equipped with bottles of water and sweets for us. We arrived in Jaipur at around 9am where we met our guide for the day. We started with Amber Fort and also took an elephant ride (also included in the price). The guide explained to us in great detail the history of this Fort. We moved on to take some pictures near the Water Palace and then headed off to a gem and diamond factory. Afterwards when headed off to the Pink City and also enjoyed a typical indian buffet. However, unfortunately the driver did not join us for lunch and kept waiting for us outside. We would have definitely preferred that he also joined us. Finally, we started our way back to Delhi. On the way back, the driver also stopped us to Monkey Palace where we fed monkeys ourselves. It was a great experience. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!!
Jaipur is a must go place and this tour agency made it possible for me to do a day tour. Many told me you can't do a day trip from New Delhi but it is not. I will say a day trip is more than enough :). This trip covers most of the important places but only miss out inside of castle of the wind.
Set off early at 5am on the dot.
Our driver Dinesh, was fantastic and did a great job. We met up with our guide in Jaipur who showed us everything in detail and was flexible enough to take us to the upper fort which wasn’t on the itinerary. Long drive back. Bless the driver; works super hard. Thanks
Great trip! Ragu the local guide was extremely knowledgeable and fluent in English
I would definitely recommend this trip!!
Our driver Durgesh was very nice and an excellent driver, especially considering the long hours and how hectic the roads and traffic can get it took 5.5 hours to get back at the end of the day due to traffic. But it would have been helpful if he spoke a little more English. Brane was our tour guide and he was good though rushed through the tour about halfway through, I could not tell if it was because we had to ask him to repeat things several times or perhaps he was just having an off day. Overall was a very good tour and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who has a limited amount of days in India and wants to see Jaipur. It was certainly beautiful and full of history and we got to ride an elephant!
This tour was phenomenal. I loved the old Fort- I got to ride an elephant. These elephants seem well taken care of and they are in a social group, not lonely. The architecture in Jaipur is astounding. The lunch was delicious- typical Indian lunch buffet. Always request the garlic naan.
It is a good tour except two things. The first was about a car accident. After a good day on our way back, just a few minutes away from Amber Fort, our car inevitably hit a monkey. To be more precise, a money jumped into my car without notice. It is not the driver's fault. After the incident, our driver took the car to see a nearby garage. The technician quoted at least 3 hours for the repair. The tour operator called me, said sorry, but asked me to wait for a while. Eventually I waited at the garage for 4.5 hours before the garage could not fix it and the tour operator found another car with driver to take me and the original driver back Delhi. What a time waste.. I went back my hotel at midnight. I believe that taking me back my hotel in Delhi timely should be their first priority. But it is a pity that they selected to save money first and at the end simply wasted my precious time as a first-time tourist in India. The second was about the driving. The new driver spent about another 4.5 hours on the road, just to demonstrate his driving skill. Thousands of cut in and passing made us like running away from police after robbing a bank. I was lucky to sit on the back, otherwise I might have a stomach cramp. He was not the only crazy driver on the road. Actually, I saw quiet many drivers with similar driving patterns. Perhaps it is a common practice for many professional drivers to save time in India, especially between Delhi and Jaipur. I did not see similar driving situations on another day between Delhi and Agra. Just to warn people who is not comfortable in such race-car style transportation.
