Private tour: Haunted Places in Delhi

Jamali Kamali mosque

After morning pickup from your Delhi hotel, travel with your private guide and driver in an air-conditioned vehicle.

Head to the Mehrauli Archaeological Park to visit the Jamali Kamali Tomb and Mosque, a site that is notorious for paranormal noise that comes from the main tomb and nearby graves. Hear about the djinns (supernatural creatures) that roam the ruins of Feroz Shah Kotla fort, and learn how local people appease the restless creatures by lighting candles and incense.

Near the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, see Khooni Darwaza, one of the 13 surviving gates of Delhi. An old story says that the British killed three Mughal princes there, and their ghosts wait to avenge the murder. Meanwhile, in Nicholson Cemetery, strange noises are said to come from the many graves of British soldiers, women, and children that are buried there.

In South Delhi, people have reported a ghost walking around the old trees in the greenery of Sanjay Van. Similarly, the spirit of a woman who was killed in a car accident has made appearances at the Delhi Cantonment. Finally, an elderly couple in the Greater Kailash district were murdered in their house a decade ago and spooky sounds can be detected there.

Interesting tour in that you you get to see parts of Delhi most tourists would never see. However, it is far from frightening. The only haunted aspect of the trip is that you visit places where people were killed.
