Traveler Tips

A must if you have little time to explore or if you really want to know the real New Orleans!
Hop-on-hop off bus is a great way to get a quick overview of the City and begin to understand the history of the City, specifically the French Quarters, Central Business District, and Garden Area.
It is worth it to spend a little more for the 3 day pass because of the two included walking tours which were very good

Not worth the price.
Janice_H, May 2023
Tour guide Jonathan was very good (even though I thought he overstated the French & RC Church’s commitment to freeing enslaved peoples). Bus is dirty and the tour itself is just ok. Not worth the cost. It you have the time use the public trolleys & busses and buy a good book on history of NO & save some money. We just toured. No jumping off/on. 90 minutes long.
Informational historical enlightenment fun

Toni_B, May 2023
We saw a lot of different things a good variety. However really struggled to hear the tour guide. I think his mouth was too close to the Mike.

Excellent bus tour guides, great Garden District walking tour guide (Mr. Taylor) singer, songwriter, storyteller extraordinaire.
not worth it
RASHIDA_P, May 2023
the sound system was terrible and I could not hear the tour guide at all. For me it was a wasted 2 hrs. the bus becomes full at certain bus stops so even to get on was difficult.
Worth the Price!
Heidi_P, May 2023
Not only is this the easiest, most convenient way to get around the French Quarter, you also learn so many interesting facts about NOLA. Buy a 2 day ticket and get great discounts on other activities!
Not Factual/Informative
Susan_D, May 2023
The tour guide didn’t stick to facts…interjected his personal opinions and lifestyle which is not Christian.
Easy and convenient
Dave_B, May 2023
Great way to get to know the area but suggest doing this within a day or two of arrival, not the third day like we did. But although we had already traveled on foot to several of the areas covered by the bus we learned a great deal from the guides.
Great tour of NOLA
Allison_M, May 2023
Excellent experience to see all the areas of the city. The tour operators and drivers were incredible. Informative and great personalities
Awesome experience!
Lori_L, May 2023
This was a great way to get familiar with the city. Our tour guides were great and we jumped on and off on all the places we were interested in going!
Best way to see New Orleans!
Morgan_D, May 2023
Bill and Elroy were the best tour guide and driver combination of any tour I have ever been on. Elroy was a great driver, as he had to be in downtown New Orleans, and Bill was fantastic about explaining the places we are passing/stopping at and had a lot of knowledge he shared with us. My friend and I got off at Harrah’s to look inside, then we ran across the street to go on the ferry and just walk around for a bit. When we caught the next bus, it was different than the one we had originally been on, but we were so happy to see Elroy behind the wheel and Bill on the mic. When we come back, we hope to get the wonderful combination of the two of them again! Thank you guys!!!
Area tour

This was our first time in the area & taking this tour helped us see what the area had to offer. Very informative & the guides were very helpful with my dad & scooter.

Best way to see a little of it all
Ronny_S, May 2023
The tour of downtown and the French Quarter. Tour guide ( I think her name was Velma) was excellent in giving history of the city.
A perfect way to see the city!
Tara_Z, May 2023
The bus was a great way to see the city with kids! We could get on and off when we wanted and our tour guide, Linda, was amazing! She taught us so much and answered so many questions!
Bad audio
david_s, May 2023
Bus was great. Driver was great. Narrator was great. Audio system was unacceptable. So much static and garbled, that we could understand 20 percent of what he was saying
The best
Debra_W, May 2023
The tour was very nice, easy on, easy off, guide gave interesting info and was helpful. We enjoyed getting to see so much of the city without all the walking. And learning the history.
Well worth the money and time!
Amanda_H, May 2023
I typically opt for self-guided tours but this experience was so good that I will consider paying for more tours.
Great
Jennifer_S, May 2023
This is the second trip we went on the bus. It is great for taking a break, learning the culture, and getting from one place to the next.
Educational ride
DeAn_S, May 2023
We had a great experience on the bus and enjoyed the info that the tour guides had to share. The only negative I would say is that one of the pickup locations in New Orleans was not correct on map (stop 10), and we did not realize it until we had been waiting for quite some time.
Liked the tour
Iwona_B, May 2023
We had two tour guys and they were both great. The tour gave us a lot of information about the city history .
Wet but fun ride!
Adam_H, May 2023
Major storm hit the day of our tour. Couldn't really hear the tour guide since we sat on top! No room to sit below but we still had a fun time. Would recommend!
Don’t hop on
Natalie_S, May 2023
I didn’t think it was worth the money we spent because it was too pricey for what the tour was about
Day 2 in Nola
Anne_E, May 2023
Zelda and her driver ? Began with a D, we’re excellent. Very informative and easily to understand. Love where the hopper bus took us.
Great ride but ends early
Jesse_B, May 2023
Nice ride and covers almost anywhere you would want to go. Only negative that I’m being a little nit picky about is that the last rotation starts at 4pm so if you are doing evening events you will have to find another way back
Fun
Madeline_D, May 2023
Great way to get around and see a lot of the city and hear about the history. Guides are knowledgeable and the buses are frequent.
Best way to travel the city!
Rigo_G, May 2023
Great way to get to know the city and sites. Also, you have the ability to ride the bus all day so you can go between stops and enjoy the day.
Fabulous tour
Susan_R, May 2023
This is a "must do" in New Orleans! Our tour guides (Jude and Linda) were fantastic! Very informative but in a fun, personable way. Loved how we could get on and off whenever we felt like it throughout the day!
