The tour was awesome! Our tour guide Billy took us to the three different tours and shared wonderful information along the way. Billy was very personable and made the day enjoyable from the beginning to the end. I would book another tour with Tours by Isabelle if I were to return to NOLA.
This was an amazing tour. It does take all day so don't plan anything else on this day. However, you are doing 3 tours in one tour package. We went to the bayou and went on a swamp boat ride through the swamp first. It was very nice and our Cajun tour guide was awesome. Then we went to Oak Alley Plantation and had an awesome lunch followed by a tour of the Plantation. This is one of the most beautiful Plantations in the south. Then we went to Laura Plantation for a tour which was also amazing. It was a long day, but a great day. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I would highly recommend this tour.
This tour was awesome! My boyfriend and I loved this tour. Our driver was a lovely man named Carl and he gave a deep history of the area and was really accommodating in picking us up at our random airnb location instead of the typical French Quarter hotels. The Laura plantation tour was one of the highlights of our trip and we highly recommend it. The swamp tour was also awesome and really fun. Saw lots of alligators and our boat driver/guide was highly entertaining and knowledgeable. definitely recommend this tour to those wanting to get a lot out of a little time in New Orleans!!
Everything on time. Lunch was delicious. Food was high quality and homemade. Tour guide, Ellen, was excellent. Very knowledgeable, and a lovely person with good sense of humor. All tours provided great information, and I learned a lot. Landscape is at once enchanting and ghostly. A must for your trip to NOLA. Van was smaller than expected, but comfortable. Totally worth it. Go!
After a little more than an hour van ride we arrived at the swamp tour. The tour was great. We saw birds and turtles. No Alligators in February but we heard a lot of stories from our fantastic tour guide. The two mansion tours and lunch were fantastic as well. Our guide was very informative with many historical facts.

Fantastic day out with brilliant guide - totally recommend this trip
So much history in this tour. Swamp ride was a bit cool and gators were in hibernation but our guide was very informative and just being in the swamp is a real experience.
Nice lunch at the Oak Alley plantation, true to the south. Both plantations are beautiful in there own way , our guides were very knowledgeable.
Highly recommend this tour, just be prepared this is a all day experience and the weather can change in a minute take a umbrella, good walking shoes and bottled water.

What an exciting day out, great tour with a lovely and very knowledgeable tour guide and a bayou river cruise with crocs snapping at the shores and the history of the plantations and a spectacular tour of one of the grandest old homes in the area.
On the way back we stopped at Morning Call cafe and had Beignets and coffee. A very nice day. Highly recommend this tour operator
Joseph was our tour guide and he was great. Helped us understand the tour.
This tour was the perfect blend of fun, historical and cultural education and somber reflection. The boat adventure through the bayou was lovely and awing- our guide was a native Louisianan of Creole descent who clearly understood the importance of the bayou to the local culture. And the plantation tours were just incredible. Somehow, the guides know how to present these sites in a way that astounds and embraces their relevance to the American experience without losing the force of the horror of slavery. Little compares with standing inside a bare one room structure used to house six or seven slaves. The sites are preserved in their original state, presenting the entire tableaux in haunting perspective. You get to see two very different plantations and learn about two very different histories. The whole tour was just amazing.
The locations for the tour were amazing and the guide, Giselle, was knowledgeable, kind, and energetic. Overall a great way to spend our day and an excellent precursor for the night in a wonderful area. Highly recommended.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had an eight year old in our party and he also really enjoyed it. The time on the bayou was really interesting and we learned a lot!
This was a great tour. It was run by Tours by Isabelle and Giselle was our wonderful tour guide. The food at Oak Alley was 5 star.
This excursion was the best part of our trip. It is a long day but very informative and fun. Good variety with several different stopping points. The food at the plantation was also good. Had a super time!
The trip through the everglades was exceptional. Our swamp boat operator and guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and full of first hand experience and stories. Anyone going to Cajun country should take a trip through the swamps to get a feel for where the traditions and local stories come from.
Great time. Took our pre-teen boys and they really loved the airboat swamp tour. The plantations we visited were good. nice we got to see 2 of them with quite a contrast oak alley and laura plantation. Highly recommended tour!
Great tour! Our lead tour guide was Joseph - wow is he a fount of information! He really knows his stuff! Be aware if going on the swamp tour in November - or any of the cooler months - you won't see alligators or turtles. But, you will be out on the water and learn a lot of interesting facts about the local area and the wildlife. The tour of the two plantations are very well done - guides are extremely knowledgeable and informed. Extremely interesting history. The lunch they provide at Oak Alley is quite good. Salad, soups, red beans and rice, smoked sausage, baked chicken, corn, peas, bread and butter, and for dessert, cheesecake and bread pudding. There is a cash bar where you can order cocktails, or iced tea, lemonade and coffee are offered complimentary with lunch. There is a great gift shop at Oak Alley and also at Laura where you can get some neat items. I highly recommend this tour!
The tour guide was very informative and accommodating. It was a good trip.
David was fantastic, friendly tour guide with tons of interesting tidbits of trivia and info to share along the way our journey to each of the plantations. The airboat ride through the bayou swamp was a hilarious hoot with Captain Gary at the helm. We had a memorable visit to Louisiana, and this tour was one of the highlights, well worth the effort and time.
Fun day for the family. We love the fact that we were picked up from our hotel. We were able to see one Alligator, my boys (12 and 9) loved it.We were able to see lots of birds as well. Lunch was delicious! Lots of local treats. It is very interesting to see two unique plantations. Learned lots!
The tour was wonderful!!! Comfortable vehicle, a great tour guide- Allan, full of knowledge and patience. The sights were beautiful and interesting and the meal was very good. We had a lovely day and I highly recommend.
This is a great day tour, our tour guide was very entertaining. Laura plantation is so rich in history, Oak Valley is absolutely beautiful. Lunch served at Oak valley was delicious and definitely recommend it. We did not get to see many gators in the swamp but the views are worth it.
Swamp tour was brilliant, great guide, the plantations were very informative and great scenery.
Excellent tour. Muriel was our guide and she has got a very good knowledge of the region and history of Cajun. She explained a lot of different things on the way to the swamp boat tour. I was on my own so this tour was perfect for me. The little bus was very comfortable. The small group size is ideal for this type of tour. The food at the Plantation was very nice. The 2 plantations are complementary as they are very different to each others. I would have liked to spend a bit more time on the Oak Valley plantation to spend more time on the slave exhibition. I felt I had to follow the group willing to move on to the other plantation.
It was interesting to see the Bayou and outside New Orleans. This is a must to do if you have a full day.
