Carol our guide was a wealth of information and we had a lovely time.
Midge was a great Tour guide. She had a very good knowledge of the places we visited!
I recommend you take this tour. such a beautiful area to see. Amazing homes!
This is a great tour. A little more expensive than some of the Garden tours but worth it because you get to go inside a home. Our guide Miss Nancy made this a wonderful experience. She is a New Orleans native and former history teacher. We were also driven in comfort in a new bus!
This tour was excellent. Added bonus to be able to go into one of the homes. We had a great guide Marcia who was informative and really knew her stuff!! Always nice to take a tour with someone who really enjoys what they are doing.
Marcia, our tour guide, was great. We took a bus to the Garden District and we walked and stopped along the way while Marcia gave us the history of the district and told us about individual homes. We could have done this walking tour on our own but would have missed out on hearing all the history that a real tour guide can give. We would highly recommend taking this very informative tour!!!
This has got to be the best tour of the Garden District, Nancy our tour guide was like an extremely well educated southern belle, with awesome inside stories, and so amicable, and Kevin our driver was great... The tour went longer than detailed, which was an added bonus! But it is a must! If you want to know the history behind this great city... Just ask Nancy!
This is probably the best way to see the Garden District. Our guide did an excellent job of explaining the history of the area and the architecture of the buildings. A nice benefit of this tour was being able to go into one of the houses, owned by the Opera Guild. That's the only way you get to se the interior of any of these homes. In addition, she pointed out several celebrity homes which is always interesting. The visit to the cemetery was only about 20 minutes but she provided a very good description of how the above ground burial system works. If we had tried to do thiis on our own we would have learned very little, so the tour was well worth the money and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see the Garden District.
Daniel our tour guide had so much knowledge, he was amazing. Showed us a totally different side from the French quarter. beautiful mansions and the stories behind them.
Wonderful tour, and a wonderful guide. Mary showed us beautiful homes and provided us with so much information about them, and the beautiful area
Very good tour. Lady guide very knowledgeable on her subject. Lots of walking on uneven surfaces so wear flat comfortable shoes. Would recommend.
5 stars. Nancy did a wonderful job as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and really seemed to enjoy telling us all the history of New Orleans. She did a great job and was very friendly.
A must do for anyone who loves historical homes. Sandy, our tour guide, made the tour enjoyable with her knowledge of the area and New Orleans.
Learned a lot. Guide was excellent. Beautiful area of the city and worth seeing.
This is a relaxing and very informative tour for those seeking to learn about New Orleans history. The guide Daniel, did an excellent job in his delivery and interesting facts. Actually visited inside one of the mansions and walked past many more with long interesting history. Additionally, there are celebrity homes, cemetery stop, and a mid point coffee stop. Overall, our entire group felt this was time well spent!
The tour guide did an excellent job. She was very informative and entertaining -- even in the rain!
Fantastic tour! We were debating whether to visit the garden district on our own or with a tour, but I'm really glad we did the tour! Our guide, Sheila, was fantastic. She knew all sorts of details and was a wealth of information. For example, when we visited Lafayette Cemetery, we learned a lot of things about individual graves and who they contained such as John Howard Ferguson from Plessy v. Ferguson that gave us an appreciation we would otherwise have lost on our own.
Besides the cemetery, the other highlights included seeing the houses of John Goodman and Sandra Bullock. We also got to go inside one of the older houses and tour around it.
We were in NOLA for a girls' weekend and we made this tour part of it. So happy we did. Saw a lot of historical and famous homes and learned a lot about the burial process. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable.
Definitely ask for Daniel! He was amazing and so knowledgeable! He made sure every stop was in the shade which was great! Best tour we had in New Orleans!
Our tour guide was Marsha. She was very knowledgeable about each house and provided details that brought the house to life. She also had knowledge of the surroundings which provided context to what we were seeing and why it was there.
Your was amazing. Kati at Laura has such passion for the history and Joe at Oak Alley is knowledgeable and funny. Both are a credit to the history they present. Naji, our driver stretched the time with her to show us as much as possible. She was great. Highly recommend Tours by Isabelle.
