What a great Plantation. Fantastic House and Grounds. Excellent Tour Guide in the house. Very knowledable, informnative and in period costume.
Incredible place. Just wish I had had more time. Best to arrive with your own car...if possible. Thank you Anna, the guide in the house, you were super informative and entertaining!
The tour was terrific. Great guides and driver.
One challenge while checking in...the cashier wanted to charge me again for the tour. She didn't understand the 'voucher' meant I had a paid tour.
I loved the plantation it was beautiful! And our tour guide Susan was amazing! Highly recommend
Incredible!! We wish we had the whole day it was that wonderful! Everything from the bus ride to the tour and free time on the grounds. One of the highlights of our entire trip!
This is a lovely tour and a great way to spend an afternoon. The house and grounds are beautiful and there is a very nice restaurant on site. Our tour guide was well informed about the history of the area and the plantation itself. This is not a museum but a private residence.
We really enjoyed this tour. It was well done and very informative and we had a great time!
Worth the hour drive out of New Orleans as the Mansion and grounds were beautiful and our tour guide was informative and humorous. The café on site had great food as well!
The grounds, the tour guide, the food ... all memorable and very enjoyable. Worth every penny!
Excellent tour and tour guide a must for anyone visiting New Orleans
Loved the plantation it is so beautiful, the gardens are worth the stroll and it is amazing how much our world has changed, our tour guide was wonderful with asking questions and telling the history of the house and the plantation.
Spectacular!!! This is the best all around plantation that I have toured in Louisiana. The house and grounds are truly wondrous and the original artwork will spoil you. The restaurant was top notch, I had the buffet, you won't be disappointed!! The one hour bus ride out from the city was comfortable and pleasant. The mint julep was only average but still good. Can't wait to come back!!
Gardens were beautiful!!! Tour was fun, educational and enjoyable!!!
The tour itself was terrific! Debbie, our knowledgable and entertaining tour guide, was very interesting and passionate about the property and its history. My only frustration was the ride to the plantation. There was an issue with another participant being late for his appointed pick up which made the pickup at the Marriott 15 minutes late. Then we went back to get the guy! I am a local and took the bus option for convenience. Next time I'll just take our visitors by car and get tickets at the door.
This was one of our favorite days in New Orleans. It was raining, but we had raincoats and umbrellas, so it did not prevent us from enjoying the gorgeous gardens and grounds. The tour of the mansion was interesting and informational. The biggest surprise for us was the terrific meal we had there in their restaurant---we were expecting tour food, but got gourmet fare. Delicious.
This was an excellent way to spend a day in New Orleans. Beautiful grounds, well kept plantation. Excellent job by the tour guide.
Wonderful tour. Tour guide very informative. This was my second plantation tour in LA and this was far best.
Real nice! House, gardens and history in one outing. Drive out and back on bus made for a refreshing nap too!
Been to a lot of plantations - this is by far the best. House was great - gardens beautiful and the lunch was also amazing.
