Soak up New Orleans’ wild (and sometimes drunken) history on a 2-hour walking tour of the French Quarter with a storyteller guide. Visit historic sights and occult landmarks with plenty of time to grab cocktails to go, as the guide shares the ghost stories, vampire legends, and funny anecdotes about life in the Vieux Carré.
  • 2-hour history tour of the French Quarter
  • Stop for drinks along the way
  • Learn about Voodoo, vampires, and local legends
  • Get inside tips from a local
  • Paranormal equipment available for use
Make your way to a central location in New Orleans’ French Quarter, where this tour begins, and meet a guide to hear your first stories about the iconic neighborhood. Follow a route through the streets of the Vieux Carré, where you’ll find more than 200 bars—many of which offer cocktails to go.
You’re welcome to stop and refill your cup as often as you’d like so you can explore the city with drink in hand, though the tour guide does not go in to the bars. Visit the place where the Louisiana Purchase was signed in 1803, then see the St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square.
Learn where to find New Orleans’ most predictable ghost, and experience the most haunted house in the city. You’ll see multiple locations where vampires have been sighted, then get the inside scoop on the practice of Voodoo in New Orleans, from the Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau to modern day paranormal activity. Visit property that was given to Laveau in payment for magic, and see places where Voodoo ceremonies were held.
Finish the tour in the heart of the French Quarter, close to restaurants, bars, and nightlife.

Emily was very friendly and sweet! She was enjoyable to listen to and very knowledgeable. Was a great tour to take in the afternoon so as to stretch our legs from the flight from Colorado! Be very careful of the drink called the hand grenade.... it will mess with you. Thanks Emily!!!

The guide had very strong accent. It would be difficult if you are not a native English speaker.

The guide Cody was not animated enough for me. Having done other tours in New Orleans that were given by Free Walking Tours, this guide was not up to the same level for 25. I had higher expectations for the tour.....and would not recommend this tour for anyone.

The tour was all right, but it was nothing special. The tour guide wasn't very enthused and actually minimized the creepiness several times. Also, it seemed to last forever. After about an hour and a half, I just wanted to leave which probably wouldn't have been the case if it had been more exciting.

Our guide was upbeat, hysterically funny, and stopped at enough bars for us to live up to the tours name. She told the history of New Orleans with a good mix of funny but not making fun of and had some personal stories that made it better. We had a great time!

Awesome experience...our storyteller was one in a million!
