Although not your typical tour of New Orleans, this 3-hour expedition through the Big Easy takes in some of the major points of interest, including the French Quarter, Treme, the Esplanade, the Garden District and the Metairie Cemetery. Relax in air-conditioned minibus comfort, and listen as a guide leads you through one of America's most historic cities.
We took this tour on our very first day in New Orleans. Our tour guide was very patient and informative. He showed us all areas of town and gave us great information on restaurants and shopping. After the tour is over he even dropped us off at various places in town instead of taking us straight back to our hotel. This is a great tour to do at the beginning of your trip so that you can see all the different areas of downtown New Orleans.
Great tour guide, Fourth-generation local with relevant information to share. I love learning the history, bother recent and old, of each city I visit and this did not disappoint. I also appreciate her for being an excellent driver, keeping us out of an accident when not one, but TWO consecutive vehicles turned left in front of our vehicle.
This tour was really good and our tour guide made it amazing. She is a native of New Orleans and had a awesome personality which made the tour interesting and go by quick. Her name was Oreal? (I know I spelled that wrong but she said it was a mix from Oreo and Loreal). The only thing I wish that could be a little different if we had some snacks or the café we stopped at had more options or quicker. I definitely recommend this tour and try to request that guide and do it on the first day to New Orleans because she gives great pointers.
Tour was good. Wish there was more we could have saw. I like seeing actual neighborhoods around locals really wanted to see the ninth ward. The tour guide was so funny and informative. She gives a lot of information. Busses should be designed differently so everyone can get a good view.
We were in New Orleans for Tia's 2525 birthday celebration, she refuses to say five- 0! One of the first things we did was to take the Three HOur City Tour of New Orleans. Our driver was O'real and she was AWESOME! She was patience, knowledgeable, kind and a complete joy to be around. She was born and reared in New Orleans and provided us with the rich history of the city detailing what makes New Orleans New Orleans. She has great pride in her city and it resonates throughout her entire presentation. Be sure to make time to take the tour. We toured the city City Park best beignets, cemetery, Garden District, French Plaza, etc on an air-conditioned bus and every seat has a good view. She also made several suggestions for restaurants. We took her up on one of her suggestion and went to New Orleans Food and Spirits, excellent suggestion and wonderful food! O'real is the real deal and because of her I now know how to correctly pronounce pecan and praline. Thanks for making our visit an awesome one!
This was hands down our favorite tour we booked in New Orleans over our 6 day stay, and one of the cheapest tours we booked! I loved that they picked you up right at your hotel AND she dropped us off close by at a local place for lunch at the end of our tour! Our tour guide was Oriel and she was beyond amazing! She is a local, born and raised here and was a great story teller and had a great sense of humor! My favorite part of the tour was learning about the hurricane and seeing the actual levy breaks. We really enjoyed walking around the unique cemetery and seeing where all the lavish rich and famous are buried! Driving around the garden district was just beautiful! She gave us lots of restaurant recommendations which was appreciated. The bus is very comfortable and was a small enough group we could ask questions. We also enjoyed sitting down to eat beignets at the park and taking pictures with all the spanish moss trees in the park! I would highly recommend this tour!
Very thorough history and sights of NOLA! The only issue was the obvious need for new struts and/or shocks on the van! Ray was very informative, and had answers to any questions posed by us! Great way to see NOLA! Thanks!
