Very enjoyable tour. We were treated like royalty. The staff on the steamboat couldn't do enough for us. Very nice meal in comfortable surroundings. Very informative private tour of the boat escorted by a crew member. Probably more suited to the males among us who find engines etc fascinating but it was interesting to see what makes her go. Don't know how they can work in that heat in the engine room!! Good music to accompany the trip up and down river arriving back in the dark to see New Orleans lit up at night. Thank you for the extra little gifts that give us many happy memories
The plantation tours were excellent, the swamp boat tour was the best. Got up close and personal with Brutus the largest alligator in the river. If you go don't miss the swamp boat tour.
This was one of the best tours that we have ever been on. We received first class treatment from the time we arrived at the dock to the time we left the ship. Our host for the evening was wonderful and we truly appreciated his hands-on approach. Thanks again for a wonderful time!

Highly recommend the VIP package. Our guide, Jordan, was simply superb. We were treated like VIP's due to his attentiveness. There was no wait in line, three tables were reserved, one directly in front of the band, the second outside along the railing, and third private table for dinner. With the captain of the vessel leading the tour it was very informative.
Amazing experience, wonderful tour - it made our 20th wedding anniversary trip.
Had a wonderful time on the Natchez. The hosts were gracious and the experience including our pictures, cocktails, tour and dinner were great! Nice dinner and tour of the Mississippi. Highly recommend this package tour!
Absolutely amazing! It was my husband's birthday so I upgraded to the VIP package. The package included the dinner cruise, private boat tour and open bar. It was well worth the price. Vanessa, our hostess greeted us near the ticket booth holding a sign with our names listed on it. Vanessa stated we were the only VIP Guest for the evening and she had a great evening planned. First stop was the bar where we were given champagne. Vanessa had three 3 VIP tables set for us, each with white table clothes. The top deck table was decorated with birthday stuff and was near the fabulous jazz band, one was near the bar with a great river view and the third was for dinner. The dining area was near the bar both in an air conditioned area. Dinner was buffet style. We were scheduled for the second seating, 7:35 p.m. After the first dinner seating, the dining area was cleared and the buffet was reset. The lines formed outside the dining area but again we were the VIP guest no lines for us. The food was sensational!! We were greeted by the captain before dinner who offered the tour of the steamboat, but because of the heat and humidity, we declined. He later announced us as the VIP Guest for the evening and of course said happy birthday to my husband. After dinner, we ventured back up to the upper deck for a night of cruising, jazz and several more flutes of champagne. Our hostess mentioned that VIATOR and the Natchez had just recently teamed up. What a fantastic TEAM. If you're ever in New Orleans, we highly recommend the Steamboat Natchez Dinner Cruise with Private Boat and Engine Room Tour offered only by VIATOR. I promise you're cherish the memories forever! July 11, 2016 Sheila and Willie Georgia
Fantastic cruise, dinner lovey, all staff amazing and enjoyed meeting the captain on the engine tour he was lovey. All,in all first class would highly recommend it
We felt like real VIPs! Great service, great tour, great perks. We highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes to receive the royal treatment. Yvonne was great!
I loved every minute of this. When you book VIP, they really go out of their way to make you feel special. I felt like the Queen of England, LOL. Needless to say, I highly recommend.
this is a must. we paid a little extra for the VIP and was well worth it. Had a tour from the captain which was very interesting and was well looked after all night. Highly recommended.
The VIP package with drinks included was brilliant value for money. We had a awesome time and were waited on hand and foot. The boat is great, Mississippi River great and the house jazz band topped it off
We were the only passengers smart enough to buy the vip packages through Viator! They made us feel very spaicial, and we didn and #39;t have to wait in ANY lines!! The vip package was worth the cost easy. Let alone all the free drinks!
Awesome VIP experience. We loved having the reserved table outside, and the personal service allowed us more time to enjoy the experience vs. waiting in line at the bar for drinks. When it was time, our personal tour guide met us and walked us through the engine room and back to the paddle for an up-close view of how the boat operates. This access and personal description is not available on the regular cruise. When it was time for dinner, we had a private reserved table at the back, and were given first in line access to the buffet. Again, allowing us to spend more time enjoying the cruise. Overall, it was a really awesome experience, and probably the biggest highlight of our trip to New Orleans. Highly Recommend!
The dinner cruise was great ,I recommend VIP if you can afford it.
Fabulous - had a wonderful evening. Worth the extra cost for the VIP experience!
It was superb, the service, the food, the prívate tables. I highly recommend it!
My husband couldn't quit talking about how much fun he was having and he rarely comments on anything. The meal was very good and whether you wanted meat or veggies or dessert, it had everything. We took the VIP tour without realizing it was different and it was great. Lots of attention and we felt very spoiled. Couples near us asked how we got that so they could get it next time. We truly felt spoiled including free photos and gifts and reserved tables. Spoiled indeed! Our hostess was exceptional and I think we were a bit of a challenge to her but she handled in extremely fun way.
Great in top form evening VIP. We were received with much attention. To dine impeccable.
This was definitely worth the extra money! We got to go on the boat first so no standing and waiting in the very long que, had our own reserved table on the deck. Had a great informative tour by the Captain and were able to take a tour of the inner workings. At dinner, we were seated first and allowed to be the first in line for the buffet. We also received a nice swag bag at the end. I only wish we were also escorted off the boat first...that would have made it perfect!
Loved this ! We were treated like royalty. The meal was wonderful and we had special seats inside and outside the boat. We got a private tour of the steamboat and it was very nice. I believe our tour guide was Veronica and she was so kind as well as the captain. When we departed we received a free gift bag with a CD of jazz music, wine glasses, ink pens, and a picture of me and my husband on the steamboat. It was one of our favorite things we did in New Orleans - it was also our first trip to New Orleans. The night cruise was beautiful.
This was AMAZING!! Yvonne, our host, was FABULOUS!! We had reserved seating outside to hear the wonderful jazz band and a table right by the buffet! The food was soooooo good! Then we went back to our table outside to enjoy our cocktails and listen to more music! The tour of the boat was fun and informative. At the end of the night, we got a goodie bag filled with delightful treats! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans for the first time! I would definitely do it again! :
This was an awesome experience from beginning to end. Our hostess for the evening set up a private reserved table for us on deck so we had unobstructed views. The private tour with the captain was excellent, we were able to learn a lot about the history of the boat and how it operates. During the meal time, we had a reserved table at the front dinning room in front of the paddle wheel with awesome views. Our hostess was attentive anticipating what we may want before we knew to ask. She brought us beverages throughout the night so we never had to stand in line. The roast beef, spinach and the bread pudding were awesome. I prefer my beef medium well, and my server was gracious to see to it, that I received end cuts. I do not eat shrimp so instead of shrimp cocktail, the chef created a delicious appetizer of cheese and walnuts in a leaf. Our hostess was energetic and made our experience wonderful. At the beginning of the cruise the captain gives a great narrative as we passed significant city highlights. The sunset was gorgeous, and the view from the boat of the city lit up were spectacular. The only down side, we had three passes, and only received two CD sets. I would highly recommend this cruise. The unlimited drink pass was well worth the upgrade, whether ordering virgin or alcoholic drinks, they were all included. It was the first event we did to celebrate my sons graduation, it was a great beginning to a weekend full of memories.
