Guide was excellent, knowledgeable, he understood the philosophy behind the arrangement of the names, the design of the memorial. It was amazing how quiet it was when you were around the reflecting pools as the flowing/falling water put a curtain to block the city noises. This allowed you to better feel and understand the emotional impact of the memorial.
Could not have asked for a better tour guide. Knew everything from heart, and completely kept our attention. Great walking tour for the full explanation of what actually took place on 9/11. Could not have had a better tour guide.
A great talk, just right. Mike who took us round was very respectful and told background stories on some of the victims which was very moving. I found he pitched it just right and was very glad we had opted for this walking tour.
I would recommend this tour before going to the Museum. It had a lot of valuable information. Appreciated knowing some of the stories that went with what we saw in the museum. Wish it had been a little longer with more information about people who perished.. My son in law especially wanted to hear more about the firemen, he is our fire chief.
The use of headphones, with a tour guide talking to our group as we walked around was a super way to move around this peaceful place. Our guide spoke eloquently and respectfully and we were so grateful to learn more fully what happened and how it had felt, especially for the people living in New York. It was sad but we felt so glad that we could pay our respects at this beautiful memorial. Thanks so much to our amazing guide.
