I learned so much and was entertained as well an enlightened by our tour guide. Highly recommend!
The museum is so extensive you can never see it in 3 or 4 hours.
However the guide we had: Kashmir, made the best of it , taking us through some of the most beautiful , various and interesting pieces of art and providing with very good explanations.
Wonderful Place to visit. You could spend days there. Guide did an excellent job of providing information in a short amount of time. I would recommend.
Fantastic guided tour! Our guide, Scott, was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a delightful sense of humor! My 11 yr. old daughter sincerely enjoyed herself, as well.
A tour: I would highly recommend the guided tour and would return to take the tour again in the future.
This tour was the highlight of our visit to New York. Stefan, the Tour Leader, was an outstanding guide - incredibly knowledgeable about every part of the museum that we visited and very open to answering questions. In fact, he was so great that we commented we'd love to hire him to take us through the entire museum over the course of a week!
The lady that was our tour guide was fantastic!! The museum is very large to say the least and she was great in helping and guiding us thru in the three 3 hours we were their. I highly recommend this tour!!
The Met can be a daunting museum to visit alone given its size. This tour gave us the opportunity to understand the history of the museum and see some key pieces in a quick 2 hr timeframe our tour guide, Scott, was fantastic and took longer than 2 hrs to ensure we saw much of the museum!. Our visit was richer because of this tour and the stories about the Met's collection that you get with a guide. The tour group was small 7 for us so we could stay together easily and hear everything. We were traveling with our 10 and 11 yr olds and they were never bored or tired the entire time. Excellent, excellent tour that the entire family is still talking about in detail a week later.
The tour was great! The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the artifacts, history of the meseum and the artists. He also was very flexible and since it was a small group allowed us to go off the typical tour and showed us some special pieces we were interested in.
Outstanding tour. Ryan was informative, enthusiastic and engaging. He really gave us an insight into the breadth of the collections at the Met. Highly recommended. Tour price includes admission fee to the Met.
The guide was fantastic ! Very enthusiastic and with a high knowledge ! He had always a very good disposition to explain and show us everything that we were planning to see ! Highly recommended and please do pass a thank you and congratulations to the guide which made this experience fantastic !
The sequence of the tour and the information provided about each section and the works of art therein were excellent, entertaining and enlightening The guide, Ryan, was very considerate and responsive to our questions and interests.

Our tour guide was incredible, we learned things we would have never known like how to make a bronze statue. It was just so interesting, and you could see how truly passionate she was about art and history. Also, she was very conscious in taking us into less busy areas of the museum since it was a holiday weekend and was crazy busy.
The rooftop bar area was stunning, and even after visiting the Met numerous times I had never been and it was So SO worth the climb!! My husband and I stayed up there for a half hour after the tour just taking in the view.
Thank You so much for such a great time!
We had a great tour with our guide, Jeffery. He really knew the museum and the works he showed us. We wish we had taken a longer tour, though - it really goes by quickly, and we wanted to look at more treasures. We will just have to go back again!
This was an awesome tour. I did this tour with my 12 year old daughter and we both loved it. Simone, our guide, was very knowledgable and she did a great job conveying that knowledge to us. I now know how I want to visit museums in the future.
Our guide was so knowledgeable! What a great way to see the museum.
I took the 3-hour extended tour and I love it. Met is already too famous so I don't need to rave about the museum anymore. However, there's a reason you choose to visit a museum with a tour guide, that's the tour guide him/herself. Our guide of the day was Jason. Within the mere 3 hours, he managed to give me more knowledge about art and art history than I can ever learn at school. He was patient and passion about art and you can feel it by the way he conveyed his speech. He managed to give us information without making use snooze off as the professors in school. As a matter of fact, his speech was so interesting that we collected quite many stray along the way through the museum and he had to keep un-invite them. Highly recommended, especially if you're as clueless about art as I am.
DO visit the MET! There is something here for every person to enjoy in this beautiful building- and space to see it. DO visit the roof top for a refreshing break and a beverage from the nice snack bar and take in the great view! - snap some photos! END your visit when you are tired and done looking. DO NOT eat at the museum restaurant- ugh! It is a glorified cafeteria with waiters, a limited, small portion, menu of over-priced food and beverages! Eat somewhere else after you leave - anywhere outside the museum would be better! SO, go to the MUSEUM, not the restaurant, and have a good time!
Perfect timing, we were able to cover a lot in this tour. Guide was very good.
This museum is fantastic. We loved everything about it. Our tour guide, Cashmire, was about an hour late though. We also felt rushed through the entire tour. It was supposed to be a 4 hour tour but it ended in about 3.5 hours. I think the hour delay in beginning the tour must have created an issue for our guide. She must have had another appointment. Our guide was often rude to other museum goers - she'd elbow her way to the front and bring us with her. I was often embarrassed because I felt we should have waited our turn. She was very informative - just a bit rushed. I would highly recommend the tour just not the guide.
Great review of the museum... The museum is so big... Could have taken a few days just to see everything in the museum
Guide was too detailed and spent to much time on detail. Wanted to see what he showed but didn't need a professor to teach class on it, could have see more with less detail.
This review is for our tour in June 2016. Our guide was just IN LOVE with the Egyptian section. I mean, come on, do we really need 90 minutes on the Egyptian antiquities? Literally half of our 3-hour tour. And while this has nothing to do with the tour company, but the Met could learn a few lessons from the other great museums in the world on how to curate a display. The sheer number of pieces crammed into some displays was overwhelming, reminiscent of a flea market.
